Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé pour surveiller une thérapie photodynamique d'un tissu cible, dans lequel le tissu cible contient une substance photosensibilisante, comprenant une première source lumineuse configurée pour adresser de la lumière au tissu cible, la première source lumineuse ayant une longueur d'onde capable d'exciter la substance photosensibilisante. Un transducteur à ultrasons reçoit des signaux photoacoustiques générés dus à l'absorption optique de l'énergie lumineuse par le tissu cible, et une unité de commande en communication avec le transducteur à ultrasons reconstruit des images tomographiques photoacoustiques à partir des signaux photoacoustiques reçus pour fournir une indication de dépôt d'énergie optique dû à la substance photosensibilisante dans le tissu cible.
