Abstract

Provided is a camera system which can easily and surely perform switching between a plurality of imaging modes and acquire an image and a video based on the respective modes. A camera (1) includes a posture detection switch (121, 122) and enters the ON state when pressed by a switch pressing protrusion (332, 331) formed on a support shaft (3). The camera (1) is detachably attached to a holding member (2). The holding member (2) and the camera (1) are rotatably set with respect to the support shaft (3). The contact between the posture detection switch (121, 122) and the switch pressing protrusion (332, 331), i.e., the combination of ON/OFF of the posture detection switch (121, 122) is changed according to a plurality of rotation positions of the camera (1) and a state detached from the holding member (2). The camera (1) detects the combination, judges the posture of the local device, and performs a video correction by the imaging mode based on the posture.
