Ensemble (1) d'absorption d'énergie par déformation en particulier pour siège (10) de véhicule automobile en cas de choc, ledit ensemble (1) comprenant un premier élément (6), un deuxième élément (8) et un dispositif d'absorption d'énergie (4) interposé entre le premier élément (6) et le deuxième élément (8), et apte à absorber l'énergie cinétique lors du déplacement du premier élément (6) par rapport au deuxième élément (8) suivant une direction de déformation (X) et dans un sens absorption (32), l'ensemble (1) comprenant en outre un dispositif anti-retour (2) autorisant le déplacement du premier élément (6) par rapport au deuxième élément (8) dans le sens d'absorption (32) suivant la direction de déformation (X) et s 'opposant au déplacement du premier élément (6) par rapport au deuxième élément (8) dans un sens opposé (34) au sens d'absorption (32).
