Abstract

Disclosed is an oven comprising a cooking compartment (2) that can be closed by an oven door (20), and a rear fan chamber (9) in which a hot air fan (10) is located. Hot air flows are conducted, by means of air conducting elements (14) and air outlets (13) in the fan chamber wall (8), from the hot air fan (10) into the cooking compartment (2) and to the material that is to be cooked. According to the invention, the air conducting elements (14) which support lamellae generate swirling hot air flows at a distance from the lateral cooking compartment walls (3, 4) and from the central region (22) of the cooking compartment (2).
