- a collecting container generates a negative pressure, so that the body fluid can be sucked through the drainage line and collected in the collecting container.
- a drainage container with a rigid lid and flexible bag attached thereto is known for example from EP 0 861 668 and WO 01/24846.
- Improper handling may result in already aspirated fluid returning to the drainage tube and to the patient. This happens especially when the line is interrupted. For example, if at the end of a suction forgotten to turn off the suction pump, before the lid of the container is removed or one of the lines is removed, then the liquid injected from the
- WO 2005/087152 proposes to provide a one-way valve with a flat valve membrane in a rigid head part of a drainage bag.
- a check valve in a drainage device is also known from EP 0 842 674.
- duckbill valves made of a flexible hose that is beak-shaped at one end; i.e. At this end, two opposite side walls abut each other. Examples of such valves are shown in WO 93/10015, US Pat. No. 6,089,260, WO 2006/054889 and US Pat. No. 5,405,323.
- these valves are not functionally reliable, in particular when used with suction pumps and in particular in drainage devices. They tend to invade and thus remain permanently open.
- the inventive drainage device for receiving extracted body fluids has a rigid head part.
- a check valve described above is arranged in the head part, which has a rigid passage piece and a flexible valve tube having a first and a second end, wherein at the first open end of the passage piece is arranged and at the second end two opposite tube walls abut each other in use, wherein with internal overpressure, move away from one another and open a passage to the first end and close the passage in case of external overpressure.
- the valve is designed asymmetrically with respect to a plane extending through its longitudinal central axis and / or it is in an area outside the anein- other adjacent tube walls with respect to its longitudinal central axis is not rotationally symmetrical.
- Rotationally symmetric is understood here to mean a shape which is invariant to any rotation about its axis of symmetry. Not rotationally symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal central axis thus means that the shape does not remain invariant at all angles of rotation.
- the asymmetry is formed in one embodiment by a one-sided reinforcement of one of the two tube walls, wherein the two tube walls are preferably formed in the abutting region each rectangular.
- the reinforcement is applied to an outer side of a hose wall.
- both tube walls are provided with a reinforcement as claimed in claim 17.
- the asymmetry is formed by a chamfered end of the passage stub, this end projecting into the valve tube.
- the end is bevelled on one side.
- the bevel of the rigid outlet nozzle and in particular the one-sided bevel have the advantage that an optimum valve function is ensured.
- the transition from the constant cross-section of the rigid passage to the valve tube is relatively abrupt and thus has a large difference in stiffness.
- the bevel reduces the material stress the valve tube.
- the rigid outlet nozzle is integral with the lid and made of the same material as this one. This facilitates production and reduces its costs.
- a region of the valve has a non-rotationally symmetrical shape outside the adjoining tube walls.
- this area is formed by the end of the fürstutzens, which projects into the valve tube.
- This area may have a variety of non-rotationally symmetrical shapes along the circumference of the neck, wherein the passage opening of the nozzle itself is not diminished.
- it is round, but it can also be elliptical or oval or have a different shape.
- These cross-sectional shapes are also possible in the other examples according to the invention. This particular shape of the area can be used instead of or in addition to the asymmetry with respect to a longitudinal center plane, in particular to the one-sided or two-sided reinforced tube walls.

- FIG. 1 shows a drainage device according to the invention. It has a rigid container 1 and a lid 2 hermetically sealing this. On the lid 2, a flexible plastic bag 3 is attached airtight, which projects into the container 1 into it.
- Container 1 and lid 2 are preferably also made of plastic.
- the container 1 has a lateral reinforcement in the form of a thickening 10 on a side wall.
- a means for attaching the container 1 to a patient bed or a rail is arranged.
- this means is a resilient clip 11.
- other known means are also usable.
- the lid 2 has, as is clearly visible in FIG. 2, a rigid base plate 20 with a circumferential clamping ring 20 '.
- This clamping ring 20 ' can be put over the edge of the container 1 and fasten with suitable fixing means, not shown here, so that it closes the container 1 airtight.
- a patient-side suction port here in the form of a passage piece 21 is arranged in the base plate 20 in the base plate 20, a patient-side suction port, here in the form of a passage piece 21 is arranged.
- This connecting piece 21 serves to connect a drainage line, not shown, which leads to the patient at its other end.
- This passage 21 is part of the inventive check valve and will be described in more detail below in the text.
- the passage is rigid and preferably has a hardness of 65 to 70 shore D. In this example, it has an inner diameter of approximately 10.2 mm, an outer diameter of approximately 12.8 mm, a total length of approximately 14 mm and a beveled region with a length of approximately 10
- a suction port 28 is present in the cover 2.
- a suction line can be connected, which is connected to a suction source.
- This filter 24, here a membrane, is impermeable to liquids but permeable to air.
- the patient-side passage 21 protrudes beyond the base plate 20 on both sides and thus protrudes into the bag interior. It is rigid and like the other cover parts described above (with the exception of the membrane 24) preferably produced as a one-piece lid 2 by injection molding.
- the bag inside end of the passage piece 21 is formed chamfered and thus has an asymmetry with respect to the longitudinal center axis, as can be clearly seen in Figure 3.
- the chamfer preferably extends at least over a length of the connecting piece 21 which is greater than the inner diameter of the stub 21 in this region.
- the connecting piece 21 preferably has a constant inner diameter over its entire length.
- a flexible valve tube 26 is arranged, which forms a check valve together with the passage 21.
- the valve tube is preferably made of polyethylene (PE), silicone or PVC. It preferably has a hardness of 40 to 50 shore D.
- the valve tube prior to its mounting on the nozzle 21, has a preferably hollow-cylindrical basic shape with a diameter that remains constant over its length, whereby side edges may already be formed. It can thus be integrally formed and formed by two, at least in use, one above the other, connected to each other at their longitudinal edges rectangles. The two short longitudinal edges are not connected.
- the valve tube has a length of 60 to 80 mm in the examples mentioned here.
- the wall thickness is preferably about 0.03 mm and the outer diameter is about 12.8 mm. Other measures are possible.
- the neck 21 is slipped over the neck 21 with a first open end. He may additionally glued to this, welded to him or otherwise fixed.
- This valve tube 26 has a round cross-section at this end on the tube, as can be clearly seen in FIG. Shortly after the bevelled end the tube 26 flattens off and ends with two adjoining side or tube walls 260.
- the valve tube 26 thus has the shape of a so-called duckbill valve.
- the converging portion of the tube begins shortly after the taper.
- the side walls at an overpressure in the tube or under negative pressure in the bag or container from each other, ie they open the valve, and close at an overpressure in the bag or container.
- the superimposed area of the side walls is approximately 46 mm. He can also be bigger or smaller. However, the larger this range is, the better the valve action.
- the two side walls 26 preferably each have a rectangular shape in their abutting area. These two side walls 26 are reinforced on one side, i. one of the two side walls 26 is provided with a reinforcement 261, the other not.
- the tube 26 thus also has an asymmetry with respect to its longitudinal central axis. This reinforcement 261 is preferably on the outside of the side wall
- the reinforcement 261 is preferably also rectangular in shape, having a slightly smaller area than the side wall.
- the reinforcement 261 is preferably made of PE, silicone or PVC.
- the reinforcement preferably corresponds at least once again to a wall thickness. But it can also be more or less.
- FIG. 8 shows that both tube walls 260 also have a reinforcement
- the reinforcement is preferably rectangular. However, it can also have a different shape. Preferably, it extends over approximately the entire area of a hose wall. However, it can also be considerably smaller. In addition, it does not have to form a closed surface, but may, for example, be grid-shaped. It can also be designed as a strip or as dots. Other shapes are possible. In the figures 5 to 7 still further exemplary embodiments are shown. Again, the tube walls 260 are each reinforced one or two sides. As in the first example, however, only the end of the nozzle 21 may be designed according to the invention and the hose ends 260 are unreinforced.
- the end 211 in a longitudinal section perpendicular to a plane formed by the two adjacent tube walls 260, forms a V-TaI directed towards the second end with its valley bottom.
- the tongues 212 have the same length, the same width and the same shape. Their free ends are preferably rounded.
- the end 213 forms in longitudinal section perpendicular to the plane which is formed by the two adjacent tube walls, a V-shaped mountain which rises up towards the first end.
- These tongues 212 are preferably the same length, the same width, the same shape and formed with rounded ends.
- the end 214 is crown-shaped. That is, it has teeth 215 which are directed toward the second end.
- the teeth 215 are distributed uniformly over the circumference. she can be dull or pointed.
- all teeth are the same length, the same width and the same shape. There may be a gap between the teeth 215 or they may line up directly.
- a drainage bag according to WO 2005/087152 or a drainage device according to WO 01/24846 or other known drainage devices with the non-return valve according to the invention It is also possible to use a bag without a container. Furthermore, the head part with through-neck and valve in a lid can be inserted or otherwise attached to this. It is also a rigid container with the headboard used as a lid together with a rigid container, but without a bag.
- the inventive check valve prevents everting the hose ends and thus increases safety. It is particularly suitable for use in drainage devices.
