In therefrigeration cycle circuit 10, the compressor compresses gaseous phase refrigerant to achieve a high temperature and high pressure, the condenser condenses and liquefies the refrigerant through heat exchange with the outside air, the expansion valve depressurizes and expands the liquid phase refrigerant, and theevaporator 11 evaporates the refrigerant through heat exchange with the air used for the air conditioning. - The
evaporator 11 is provided in theHVAC unit 6, and cools and dehumidifies the air to be supplied to the interior of thevehicle cabin 3 through the heat exchange with the refrigerant. Therefore, condensed water, which is formed by condensation of water vapor from the air, is formed on the surface of theevaporator 11. In order to drain the condensed water to the outside, the air-conditioning device 5 is provided with thedrainage structure 100. - As shown in
FIG. 2 , thedrainage structure 100 is provided with adrain pipe 50. - The
drain pipe 50 extends in the attachment direction of a covermain body 31, which will be described below. Through thedrain pipe 50, the condensed water generated in theevaporator 11 is drained to the outside. In the following, the direction opposite to “the attachment direction” of the covermain body 31 will be referred to as the “extending direction”, which is the direction in which thedrain pipe 50 extends. Thedrain pipe 50 has an inclinedportion 63 that is provided on a tip end so as to be inclined upwards gradually along the extending direction from a lower end portion. Thedrain pipe 50 has aguide portion 51 and adrainage plug 60. - The
guide portion 51 is formed to have a cylinder shape. In an inner circumference of theguide portion 51, acondensed water passage 52, through which the condensed water flows, is formed. The interior and the exterior of thecase 7 are communicated in the extending direction through theguide portion 51. Theguide portion 51 guides the condensed water generated by theevaporator 11 in the extending direction. - The
drainage plug 60 is attached to a tip end of theguide portion 51. Aslit 64 is formed in thedrainage plug 60. -
FIG. 2 shows a horizontal plane P and a center line Q of the drain pipe 50 (the drainage plug 60). The center line Q extends in the same direction as the attachment direction (the extending direction). Thedrain pipe 50 is provided so as to be inclined by an angle α [deg] serving as a first predetermined angle with respect to the horizontal plane P so that atip end portion 50 b, at which theslit 64 is formed, is positioned lower than abase end portion 50 a, to which the condensed water generated by theevaporator 11 is supplied. Theslit 64 is formed so as to be inclined by an angle β [deg] serving as a second predetermined angle with respect to the horizontal plane P. For example, the angle α is 5 [deg], and the angle β is 40 [deg], for example. In other words, the angle β is larger than the angle α. By setting the angle α and the angle β as described above, it is possible to ensure the drainage of the condensed water while suppressing increase in the size of thedrainage plug 60. The specific configuration of thedrainage plug 60 will be described below in detail with reference toFIGS. 3 to 7 . - As shown in
FIG. 1 , thecover 30 is provided in theengine compartment 2 by being attached to thepartition wall 4. Thecover 30 is attached along the attachment direction (seeFIG. 2 ) from the front side to the rear side of thevehicle cabin 3. Thecover 30 accommodates the components of the air-conditioning device 5, such as theair blower 23, theevaporator 11, and so forth, that are arranged inside theengine compartment 2. Thecover 30 covers the through-hole portion 4 a formed in thepartition wall 4 so as to hide the through-hole portion 4 a completely. Thecover 30 prevents the noise inside theengine compartment 2 and the noise outside thevehicle 1 from entering thevehicle cabin 3 via the through-hole portion 4 a. Thecover 30 has the covermain body 31 and alid 32. - The cover
main body 31 has anupper opening 31 a and aninsertion hole 33 serving as an opening. Theupper opening 31 a opens at an upper part the covermain body 31 in theengine compartment 2. By providing theupper opening 31 a, it is allowed to access to theair blower 23 from above thecover 30, thereby making maintenance of theair blower 23 easier. - The
insertion hole 33 opens in a circular shape in a front surface of the covermain body 31. Through theinsertion hole 33, the interior and the exterior of thecover 30 are communicated in the extending direction. The drainage plug 60 of thedrain pipe 50 is inserted into theinsertion hole 33. - As described above, the
drain pipe 50 for draining the condensed water to the outside by extending in the attachment direction of thecover 30 by being inserted into thecover 30 is provided. Therefore, although thedrain pipe 50 needs to be inserted into thecover 30 when thecover 30 is attached to thepartition wall 4, it suffices that thecover 30 is formed with theinsertion hole 33 having the size that allows the insertion of thedrain pipe 50. Thus, theinsertion hole 33 formed in thecover 30 can be made smaller. Therefore, even in a case in which theevaporator 11 is provided in theengine compartment 2 and in which theinsertion hole 33 for draining the condensed water to the outside is provided in thecover 30, it is possible to suppress the entry of the outside noise to the inside of thevehicle cabin 3. - The
lid 32 closes theupper opening 31 a of the covermain body 31 from above. Thelid 32 has an inclinedportion 34 that slopes downward toward the front side. Although the through-hole portion 4 a opens in thepartition wall 4, in a state in which thelid 32 is attached, theengine compartment 2 is isolated completely from thevehicle cabin 3 by thepartition wall 4, the covermain body 31, and thelid 32. - Next, the
drainage plug 60 in thedrainage structure 100 will be described specifically with reference toFIGS. 3 to 7 .FIG. 3 is a front view of thedrainage plug 60 in thedrainage structure 100.FIG. 4 is a left side view ofFIG. 3 .FIG. 5 is a bottom view ofFIG. 3 .FIG. 6 is a sectional view taken along line VI-VI inFIG. 3 .FIG. 7 is a sectional view taken along line VII-VII inFIG. 5 . - As shown in
FIG. 3 , thedrainage plug 60 has astraight pipe portion 61, adrainage section 62, aninclined portion 63, theslit 64, aflange portion 65, and inclined faces 66. Abase end portion 60 a of thedrainage plug 60 is attached to thestraight pipe portion 61. Atip end portion 60 b of the drainage plug 60 forms thetip end portion 50 b of the drain pipe 50 (seeFIG. 2 ). Thedrainage plug 60 is formed of an elastomer such as rubber or resin having elasticity. - The
straight pipe portion 61 is provided on thebase end portion 60 a of thedrainage plug 60. Thestraight pipe portion 61 has a circular cross-sectional shape. Thestraight pipe portion 61 is fitted to an outer perimeter of theguide portion 51. - The
drainage section 62 is formed continuously from thestraight pipe portion 61 towards thetip end portion 60 b side of thedrainage plug 60. Thedrainage section 62 protrudes towards the front side of thevehicle 1 from the guide portion 51 (seeFIG. 2 ). As shown inFIGS. 6 and 7 , thedrainage section 62 is formed to have a smaller wall thickness than thestraight pipe portion 61. For example, thedrainage section 62 is formed to have the wall thickness of 0.5 [mm]. Thus, thedrainage section 62 is more susceptible to deformation than thestraight pipe portion 61 when water pressure is applied from the outside. Thedrainage section 62 is provided with theinclined portion 63, theslit 64, and the inclined faces 66. - The
inclined portion 63 is provided on a tip end of thedrainage section 62. Theinclined portion 63 is inclined linearly upwards gradually along the extending direction from the lower end portion. - As shown in
FIG. 4 , theslit 64 is formed along the up-down direction at the center of thedrainage section 62 in the left-right direction. Theslit 64 is provided in theinclined portion 63. As shown inFIG. 3 , theslit 64 is formed so as to be inclined upwards gradually along the extending direction from the lower end portion. Theslit 64 does not have an opening width and is not open under a normal state. When a predetermined amount of the condensed water is accumulated inside thedrainage plug 60, theslit 64 is opened as thedrainage section 62 is deformed by the pressure applied by the condensed water. - As described above, the
drainage structure 100 has thedrain pipe 50 for draining the condensed water to the outside by extending in the attachment direction of the cover 30 (the front-rear direction) by being inserted into thecover 30. Therefore, for example, compared with a case in which a drain pipe extends vertically in the up-down direction, it is more difficult for the condensed water to be drained. - In contrast, the
drain pipe 50 includes theslit 64 that extends diagonally upward from the lower end portion along the extending direction. Thus, the pressure applied by the water accumulated in thedrain pipe 50 acts on a lower region of theslit 64, and when a predetermined amount of the condensed water is accumulated, theslit 64 is opened by the pressure applied by the condensed water. Therefore, even in a case in which thedrain pipe 50 extends in the attachment direction of the cover 30 (the front-rear direction), it is possible to ensure the drainage of the condensed water. - The
flange portion 65 is provided on thebase end portion 60 a of thedrainage plug 60. Theflange portion 65 is formed so as to extend further radially outward from the entire circumference of the outer perimeter of thestraight pipe portion 61, thereby increasing its diameter. Theflange portion 65 is clamed between thecase 7 of theHVAC unit 6 and the cover 30 (seeFIG. 2 ). With such a configuration, a gap between the outer perimeter of thestraight pipe portion 61 of thedrainage plug 60 and an inner perimeter of theinsertion hole 33 of the covermain body 31 is sealed. Thus, it is possible to completely isolate theengine compartment 2 from thevehicle cabin 3. - As shown in
FIGS. 4 and 5 , the inclined faces 66 are respectively provided on the left side and the right side of theslit 64. The inclined faces 66 are a pair of flat planes that are each inclined towards theslit 64 from a portion of thedrainage section 62 with the circular cross-sectional shape. By providing the inclined faces 66, when thedrainage plug 60 enters water, water pressure acts on the inclined faces 66, and thereby, a force acts on theslit 64 in the direction in which theslit 64 is closed. Thus, even in a case in which thedrainage plug 60 is in water, it is possible to prevent water from entering the drainage plug 60 from theslit 64. - According to the embodiment mentioned above, the advantages described below are afforded.
- The
drainage structure 100 for the air-conditioning device 5 of thevehicle 1 includes: thepartition wall 4 configured to partition between the interior and the exterior of thevehicle cabin 3 for the passenger; theevaporator 11 arranged at the outside of thepartition wall 4 for thevehicle cabin 3, theevaporator 11 being configured to cool the air to be supplied to the interior of thevehicle cabin 3 through the heat exchange with the refrigerant; and thecover 30 attached to thepartition wall 4 from the front side of thevehicle cabin 3, thecover 30 being configured to accommodate theevaporator 11. Thedrainage structure 100 further includes thedrain pipe 50 for draining the condensed water generated by theevaporator 11 to the outside by extending in the attachment direction of thecover 30 by being inserted into thecover 30, and thedrain pipe 50 has theslit 64 formed so as to be inclined upwards along the extending direction from the lower end portion. - With such a configuration, the
drain pipe 50 for draining the condensed water to the outside by extending in the attachment direction of thecover 30 by being inserted into thecover 30 is provided. Therefore, although thedrain pipe 50 needs to be inserted into thecover 30 when thecover 30 is to be attached to thepartition wall 4, it suffices that thecover 30 is formed with theinsertion hole 33 having the size that allows the insertion of thedrain pipe 50. Therefore, even in a case in which theevaporator 11 is provided at the outside of thepartition wall 4 for thevehicle cabin 3 and in which theinsertion hole 33 for draining the condensed water to the outside is provided in thecover 30, it is possible to suppress the entry of the outside noise to thevehicle cabin 3. - In addition, the
drain pipe 50 is formed with theslit 64 that extends diagonally upward from the lower end portion along the extending direction. Thus, the pressure applied by the water accumulated in thedrain pipe 50 acts on the lower region of theslit 64, and when a predetermined amount of the condensed water is accumulated, theslit 64 is opened by the pressure applied by the condensed water. Therefore, even in a case in which thedrain pipe 50 extends in the attachment direction of the cover 30 (the front-rear direction), it is possible to ensure the drainage of the condensed water. - Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described in the above, the above-mentioned embodiment merely illustrates a part of application examples of the present invention, and the technical scope of the present invention is not intended to be limited to the specific configurations of the above-described embodiment.
- The present application claims a priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2021-190302 filed with the Japan Patent Office on Nov. 24, 2021, the entire content of which are incorporated into this specification by reference.
