Abstract
The invention relates to an exhaust gas treatment device, particularly for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine, comprising an insert (12) through which the exhaust gas flows and an elastic compensation element (14) surrounding the insert (12). A housing made of a metal sheet, comprising a jacket (116) wound about the assembly, surrounds the assembly made of the insert (12) and compensation element (14) and exerts a clamping force on the assembly. The jacket (116) is dimensioned such that in the circumferential direction, the edges of the jacket (116) forming the butt edges (18, 20) rest against each other in an abutting manner.
