Abstract

L'invention concerne un générateur d'hydrogène qui présente une première partie dotée d'un alliage et une deuxième partie séparée de la première partie et dans laquelle est située une phase liquide ou gazeuse de laquelle de l'hydrogène peut être libéré par contact avec l'alliage, la phase liquide ou gazeuse pouvant être apportée à l'alliage ou l'alliage à la phase liquide ou gazeuse. Pour permettre une libération complète mais lente d'hydrogène depuis un alliage par contact avec la phase liquide ou gazeuse, il est prévu selon l'invention que l'alliage soit sensiblement constitué d'un métal alcalin et/ou d'un métal alcalino-terreux ainsi que d'un ou plusieurs éléments des groupes principaux III, IV, V et/ou des groupes secondaires Ib, IIb du système périodique des éléments et/ou de fer et/ou de nickel, à l'exception des alliages de lithium et d'aluminium et des alliages binaires de métaux alcalins avec le silicium.
