Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif destiné à la fabrication de coussins d'emballage gonflables. Ledit dispositif comprend : un distributeur de gaz qui distribue du gaz dans une poche gonflable partiellement soudée; et un ensemble soudage par ultrasons équipé d'une sonotrode et d'une enclume afin de souder la poche après l'avoir gonflée. Le dispositif est équipé d'un mécanisme d'alimentation qui sert à avancer l'emballage gonflable dans l'ensemble soudage par ultrasons. La sonotrode soude de préférence la poche en continue sans interrompre la progression de la poche. Le procédé de fabrication de l'emballage gonflable comprend les étapes consistant à prévoir un appareil pour fabriquer des coussins d'emballage gonflables, gonfler un coussin et souder le coussin à l'aide de l'énergie générée par les ultrasons. Un coussin d'emballage gonflable, pouvant être soudé par ultrasons, est fait en bande de film polymère dont deux couches sont liées ensemble sur une paroi qui définit une poche non soudée. Le coussin d'emballage se soude facilement sur lui-même sur la partie non soudée de la poche grâce à l'application de l'énergie générée par les ultrasons.
