Abstract

A hair-styling apparatus (1) for styling hair, in particular for forming curls or waves, comprises a handle part (2) and a roller (4) which is connected to said handle part and has two projections (9a) or projection arrangements for winding-up the hair to be styled. The projections (9a) or projection arrangements are kept at a distance from one another in order to define a strand guide path (4a, 4b), which is located between said projections or projection arrangements and widens in its radially outer end region, for inserting or passing through strands H of hair. The projections 9a or projection arrangements have rounded hair contact areas along the strand guide path (4a, 4b).
