Definitions
- the invention relates to a bottle with a handle and a functional element arranged on the bottle for a flowable or spreadable product, in particular for the packaging of fillers from the group of textile washing, cleaning and care products, dishwashing detergents, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, agricultural auxiliaries, Building materials, dyes, adhesives or food and refers to an optimized stackability of such bottles.
- a particularly suitable medium for the individualization of a product is its packaging, since this forms the direct interface between consumer and product. Therefore, it is desirable to couple means for individualizing or further functionalizing a product directly with the packaging of a product.
- packaging to functionalize. For example, it is known to arrange air freshener on a package, which then cause a scent of the environment of the container, such as in a closet or in a bathroom.
- Such a bottle on the opening of which a screw cap with an additional, perfume-containing chamber is arranged is disclosed, for example, in WO2004 / 084660.
- these metering balls are arranged on the closure opening of a container, thereby increasing the overall height of the container. Furthermore, such dosing balls must be designed such that they do not reduce the compression resistance of the container in such a way that sufficient stacking of the containers one above the other is prevented.
- the corresponding metering balls are often made of a stable, haptic very hard-acting material. Therefore, there are, for example, efforts to provide such dosing balls with so-called soft-feel surfaces in order to cause on the one hand a haptic pleasant feeling in the consumer and on the other to reduce the noise generated by the dosing in the laundry drum.
- the object of the invention is therefore to develop a bottle which allows to arrange a functional element on the container such that the stackability of the containers is not adversely affected.
- the configuration according to the invention of bottle opening, handle and functional element has the effect that, when the bottles are stacked on one another, the stack pressure is completely discharged via the opening of the bottle and the neck of the bottle into the body of the bottle.
- the power flow is completely conducted past the functional element arranged on the bottle.
- Advantages of the invention are that the stability of the container, in particular the compression resistance, is not affected by the inventive arrangement of the functional element.
- the usual stack heights of the container can be kept the same, regardless of whether a functional element is arranged on the container or not. Furthermore, it is not necessary with the inventively designed bottle to increase the stability of a transport packaging, such as cardboard in which a plurality of bottles is arranged.
- the functional element can be embodied as a sponge or as a dosing ball for liquid detergents made of TPE, so that damage to textiles or loud noises from dosing balls, as they are customary today because of the hard surfaces, can be avoided.
- a bottle in the context of this application is a closable, substantially dimensionally stable container for receiving a flowable or pourable product, which comprises a formed by a bottom and a jacket filling volume, wherein the filling volume through a through the shell in the form of a towards the opening tapered bottleneck shaped opening can be filled or emptied, wherein the cross section of the bottom is greater than the cross section of the opening.
- the bottle according to the invention has a filling volume between 50 ml and 5,000 ml, preferably between 250 ml and 3,000 ml, particularly preferably between 500 ml and 2,700 ml.
- the bottle is preferably molded from a plastic.
- the bottle can also be made of cardboard, cardboard and composites like a "TetraPak” ® , and it is also conceivable to form the bottle as a thin-walled plastic bottle, wherein the bottle is held in a carton and supported.
- the wall thickness of the bottle is chosen so that the bottle is substantially dimensionally stable.
- the walls or shell surface may be elastically deformable to exert pressure on the products in the bottle and thereby assist in the dispensing of product from the container.
- the bottle may be formed in a further advantageous embodiment of the invention as a two- or multi-chamber container.
- the chambers then each contain different products from each other. For example, it is possible to store a liquid product in one chamber and a granular product in another chamber. Other conceivable combinations are listed in the following table:
- the bottle is made in one piece from a corresponding preform in a blow molding process.
- the handle is integrally molded from the body of the bottle in the blow molding process.
- the bottle with handle in only one manufacturing step is malleable.
- the bottle according to the invention is particularly suitable for filling, storage, transport and dispensing of flowable or spreadable products, especially for fillers from the group of textile washing, - cleaning and - care products, dishwashing detergents, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, agricultural auxiliaries, building materials, dyes, adhesives or food.
- a handle is a carrying device formed as part of the bottle which permits at least partial gripping by the user's hand for facilitated transport and handling of the bottle, the handle forming a chamber for receiving product communicating with the body of the bottle ,
- the handle may be formed like a stalk or bow.
- a stick-shaped handle communicating with the body of the bottle chamber has a connection opening between the hull and the chamber, while in a bow-shaped handle two connection openings between the hull and chamber are formed.
- the handle is advantageously designed such that by tilting the bottle on the handle, the bottle is positioned from a first level position in a second filling position.
- the transition between the bottom and the lower part of the body of the bottle forms a pivot or a first support point, wherein the handle forms a second support point of the bottle on a horizontal surface.
- the ratio of the surface dimensions of the projection surfaces of the fuselage shaped handle and the opening in tilted, on the handle supporting position of the bottle has a value of at least 0.8 ,
- the ratio of volume of the hull to the volume of the handle is greater than 5, which additionally ensures that sloshing when pouring product from the handle volume has no negative effect on the pouring characteristic of the bottle, since then the hull volume has the necessary buffering capacity to prevent the product from spilling out of the handle volume to the product discharge opening of the bottle.
- a functional element in the sense of this application represents a device which is physically fixed in a detachable or non-detachable manner on the bottle or formed on the bottle and the user provides at least one additional function, which is not usually realized by bottles as such.
- This function can advantageously also result from a combination of functional element and product in the bottle.
- a functional element can be designed in particular as:
- Metering device for example as metering device, metering cap, liquid metering device, metering ball, metering pump, spray cap, spray head, atomizer and the like,
- Cleaning device for example as a sponge or brush and / or
- An additional container which may contain, for example, detergents, cleaners and / or additives such as fabric softeners, decalcifiers, fragrances, bleaches.
- a metering ball is a substantially globular body with at least one opening for filling or emptying the body, which serves to dose a defined portion of a washing or cleaning agent product from a larger container.
- measuring units for example in the form of measuring strokes, are usually provided on the metering ball.
- the metering ball may be formed such that it is added together with the material to be metered into the drum of a washing machine or that the material to be dosed from the dosing ball is placed in the dosing drawer of the washing machine.
- the metering ball is usually molded from a plastic material.
- dosing balls are detachably arranged on the closure of plastic bottles of the type described above.
- the metering ball has an upsetting pressure resistance that corresponds approximately to that of the plastic bottle on which the dosing ball is fixed. This is usually done by increasing the Dosierkugelani resulting in additional material use and thus to a higher weight and higher production costs.
- a metering ball may be wholly or partially formed from a TPE.
- the metering ball may further comprise an additional applicator element for applying and distributing product, for example in the form of a roller or ball.
- a filling or removal device represents at least a second closable with a closure opening on the bottle.
- a filling or removal device as a closable opening, which has a larger opening cross-section than the spout opening of the bottle.
- the bottle is designed as a two- or multi-chamber container. It is particularly advantageous to provide a first chamber for receiving a liquid product and a further chamber for receiving a granular product, wherein the filling or removal device according to the invention of the aforementioned kind is arranged on the chamber containing the granular product. This allows a konviniente removal of granular product from an opening with a larger cross section and liquid product from the opening with a smaller cross section.
- a cleaning device in the sense of this application is a device which is suitable for dissolving or removing contaminants at least partially from or from a surface under the action of physical forces.
- Cleaning devices of this type include, for example sponges or
