Abstract

L'invention concerne un moule composite pour une utilisation dans le coulage d'un métal ou d'un alliage comportant une région de moule interne englobant une cavité de moule et une région de moule de renfort externe métallique volatil résidant sur la région de moule interne, caractérisé en ce que le matériau métallique de la région de moule de renfort possède une température de fusion telle que la région de moule de renfort fond à partir de la région de moule interne après coulage du métal en fusion ou de l'alliage et solidification au moins partielle de celui-ci dans le moule. La région de moule interne peut comprendre un moule à coquille non métallique réfractaire ou céramique, tandis que la région de moule de renfort peut comprendre de l'étain ou tout autre métal ou alliage à point de fusion relativement bas.
