Description

Description A GAS BURNER
[0001] Technical Field
[0002] The present invention relates to a burner for gas cookers, comprising more than one flame crowns.
[0003] Prior Art
[0004] In the state of the art, gas burners having a plurality of holes on the outer surface of the body for distributing flames from many points and in a manner to contact with wide surfaces are used. However, the holes being only on the outer surface periphery precludes optimal use of the resulting flame.
[0005] In order to provide a solution for the abovementioned problem gas burners having flame outlets from more than one surface are intended to be produced and to this end gas burners with multiple parts operating in a pool system have been produced. In particular burners with three-flame crowns include one central flame crown and two circumferential flame crowns, one being turned inwards and the other one being turned outwards.
[0006] The patent application no. WO98/30838 describes a burner which has more than one surface for performing more than one combustion and where, optionally, the combustion takes place only on one of these and thus providing narrower or wider heating surface. In said application the combustion is provided only on one surface and it is not possible to cook fast with combustion on several surfaces at one time.
[0007] In the European Patent Application no. EP0634608 it is disclosed a multiple part burner comprising flame outlets from two surfaces and radial ducts to connect these outlets together. The production of the said burner operating with pool system is difficult and expensive.
[0008] Another burner known in the art is disclosed in European patent application no. EP0903538. This invention comprises one central flame crown and two circumferential flame crowns. In this burner there is a horizontal Venturi chamber between the body and the flame cover.
[0009] However said burner has many disadvantages besides its advantages. Since the
Venturi effect is formed between the body and the flame cover the geometrical shape of the cover is of great importance and this increases the production costs. The Venturi effect is formed with the flame cover produced only for the said burner and similar covers cannot be used. And the Venturi effect is badly affected by any deformation on the said cover. The open top of the injector allowing the gas enter into the chamber creating the Venturi effect and the possibility of foreign bodies breaking in during cleaning of the burner may cause congestion. [0010] EP0797048 describes an invention causing gas transition from the Venturi chamber to central flame crown with the help of slots and holes on it. The Venturi effect is formed in this chamber before reaching the central flame crown. The Venturi chamber has a horizontal shape and thus it creates the Venturi effect. However the top of the Venturi chamber cannot be opened and its cleaning is difficult since the Venturi chamber is located between the surface and lower surface. It is not possible for the user to clean residues of liquid materials leaked through the holes of the Venturi chamber on the lower surface.
[0011 ] Brief Description of the Invention
[0012] The object of this invention is to perform a burner for gas cookers, having a Venturi chamber forming both horizontal and vertical Venturi, causing the Venturi effect to be formed independently from the flame cover.
[0013] Another object of this invention is to perform a burner preventing congestion that can occur due to foreign bodies breaking into the injector vent by covering the injector allowing the gas inlet.
[0014] Another object of the present invention is to perform a burner having a Venturi chamber of which the cover can easily be opened and closed and which forms Venturi effect independently from the flame cover.
[0015] The burner according to this invention mainly comprises a surface, a lower surface fixed under the surface and having the Venturi chamber on it, a chamber cover covering the top of the chamber by sitting on the lower surface and forming the Venturi effect, at least one flame cover covering the top of flame crowns and a pool in which the lower surface sits.

[0031] The burner (1) according to the invention mainly comprises a surface (2) having flame crowns (9, 10 and 11) on it, a lower surface (3) being below the Venturi chamber (7) and fixed under the surface (2), a chamber cover (4) covering the Venturi chamber (7) by settling on the lower surface (3) and forming the Venturi effect, at least one flame cover (5 and 6) covering the flame crowns (9, 10 and 11) and a pool (15) where the lower surface sits.
[0032] The surface (2) has an annular shape and flame crowns (9, 10 and 11) on itself. In the preferred embodiment there are three flame crowns. There is a central chamber (8) in the cavity which is in the middle of the central flame crown (9). The upper part of the said central chamber (8) is closed with central flame cover (5) and the lower part with the Venturi chamber cover (4). The gas formed by the Venturi effect reaches the central flame crown (9) coming from the Venturi chamber (7) through the central chamber. Four ducts (13) are connected to the central chamber (8) from the side walls. The other ends of the said ducts (13) open to the peripheral annular chamber (12) which is located between the internal circumferential crown (10) and external circumferential crown (11) and is covered with circumferential flame crown (6). The peripheral annular chamber (12) allows the gas coming from the central chamber (8) through the ducts reach the said circumferential crowns. [0033] The lower surface (3) is fixed under the surface. Gas flow to the central chamber (8) which is in the middle of the central crown (9) on the surface (2) is performed over the lower surface (3). The lower surface (3) comprises an annular plate and four channels (18) with 90° angle with respect to each other, being connected to the said annular plate. The lower surface (3) is fixed to the surface (2) from the ends of the said channels. There is an annular hole in the middle of the annular plate portion of the lower surface (3). Said hole is in the shape of a truncated cone and the greater diameter is facing upwards and the smaller diameter is facing downwards. A chamber cover (4) in the shape of a cone and comprising an annular plate on the base of the cone is located in the hole. Due to the characteristic of this form in the middle of the lower surface (3) the Venturi effect is formed both horizontally and vertically. The end of the hole in the shape of a truncated cone may tend to widen again after reaching a specific narrowness. The said hole of the lower surface located under the central chamber (8) constitutes the Venturi chamber (7) where the Venturi effect is formed. The upper part of the Venturi chamber (7) is covered with the Venturi chamber cover (4). Annular plate portion of said cover (4) has a little smaller diameter than the diameter of the central flame crown (9) and a cone-like protrusion. The said cone-like protrusion allows the Venturi effect in the hole of the lower surface (3) which is in the shape of a truncated cone. In other words the Venturi effect is formed both horizontally and vertically between the surfaces of the cone-like protrusion pertaining to the Venturi chamber cover (4) and the side walls of the cone-like protrusion surfaces of the lower surface (3). The gas with the Venturi effect formed flows to central chamber (8) horizontally through the path between the annular plate portion of the Venturi chamber cover (4) and annular plate portion of the lower surface (3). In order to enable this to happen there are three, preferably four supports (19) in the lower portions of the side walls of the central chamber (8) on the surface (2) and there exists a cavity enabling the gas flow between the annular plate portion of the chamber cover (4) and the lower plate (3) by locating the chamber cover (4) on the supports. By locating the chamber cover (4) on the supports the cover (4) is detachably mounted.
[0034] The lower plate (3) sits on the pool (15). Gas coming from the gas inlet (17) goes into the pool passing the gas inlet (16) by means of an injector and to the Venturi chamber (7) from the pool. Due to the geometric characteristic of the Venturi chamber (7) the Venturi effect is both in vertical and horizontal directions and after the Venturi effect is formed the gas passes to the central chamber (8) through the place between the annular plate portion of the Venturi chamber cover (4) and the annular plate shaped portion of the lower surface (3). The central flame cover (5) on the central chamber (8) is above the central flame crown (9). And the gas is provided to the peripheral annular chamber (12) through the ducts opening to the side walls of the central chamber (8). Thus the gas departs through the combustion conduits (14) located both on the internal circumferential crown and on the external circumferential crown (11) and on the central flame crown (9) and the combustion takes place.
[0035] More productive Venturi effect both in vertical and horizontal way is obtained due to the inventive Venturi chamber (7) characteristic. The fact that the Venturi effect is obtained free from the flame cover enables using any kind of flame cover with the burner. Furthermore removing and placing the Venturi chamber cover (4) easily facilitates cleaning of the burner (1). In addition the production and mould costs of the inventive tool are low.
[0036] Within the framework of this basic concept it is possible to develop various embodiments of the burner according to the present invention which is as stated in the following claims and cannot be limited to the examples described herein.
