Abstract

L'invention concerne un moteur à combustion interne comportant un brûleur fonctionnant en continu sous surpression, ou dans un autre mode de réalisation, un brûleur (13) fonctionnant sous pression atmosphérique. Dans tous les cas, une turbine à gaz d'échappement (38) est montée en aval du brûleur (8/13), et un échangeur thermique de récupération (1), transmettant un maximum physiquement possible de chaleur résiduelle, provenant des gaz d'échappement, vers tous les fluides gazeux et liquides dirigés vers le moteur à combustion interne, est monté en aval de la turbine. L'air de combustion ou les gaz de combustion préchauffés sont ensuite comprimés par la seule pompe à jet de vapeur (30), sans étage de compression mécanique. Ceci est obtenu du fait que de la vapeur d'entraînement est surchauffée après chauffage dans l'échangeur thermique (2), dans un surchauffeur de vapeur (11 ou 21), à l'aide de la chaleur provenant du brûleur (8 ou 13), et qu'ensuite, lors de l'expansion isentropique, cette vapeur est renouvelée et surchauffée en continu dans la buse d'entraînement (22) par apport de chaleur en provenance du brûleur (8 ou 13). Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'invention sert à remplacer un turbocompresseur habituel ou sert de moteur de véhicule comportant un système de récupération (43) de l'énergie de freinage.
