Abstract

La présente invention concerne une méthode de cryopréservation de cellules et de maintien de la viabilité cellulaire. Ladite méthode consiste à prédéterminer la température de nucléation pour la formation de glace extracellulaire et intracellulaire destinée aux cellules, refroidir les cellules à une température de nucléation prédéterminée, nucléer la formation de glace intracellulaire et refroidir les cellules à une température inférieure à la température de nucléation prédéterminée. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, une méthode permet de cryopréserver des cellules et de maintenir une viabilité cellulaire sans utilisation de composés cryoprotecteurs. Ladite méthode consiste à refroidir les cellules dans certaines conditions de manière à optimiser la formation régulée de glace intracellulaire inoffensive.
