In Fig. 1 ist mit 2 die Fahrzeugwanne und mit 4 die linke und rechte Gleiskette des Gleiskettenfahrzeugs bezeichnet. Jeder Gleiskette 4 ist ein Triebkranz 6 mit darin befindlichem Seitenvorgelege zugeordnet. Der Triebkranz bzw. das Seitenvorgelege wird angetrieben von einem Verbindungsgetriebe 8, welches zwei Eingänge für Elektromotoren 10, 12 aufweist, deren Leistung das Verbindungsgetrie- be 8 summiert. Die Elektromotoren 10, 12 sind mit ihrem größten Teil im selben axialen Bauraum angeordnet, der von der Gleiskette eingenommen wird, und zwar oberhalb der Gleiskette (Fig. 2). Das Verbindungsgetriebe 8 ist auf der zur Fahrzeugmitte zugewandten Seite von Triebkranz 6 und Antriebsmotoren 10, 12 angeordnet, wobei das Gehäuse des Verbindungsgetriebes 8 starr mit der Fahrzeugwanne verbunden ist.
