Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (2) zum Widerstandsschweissen eines Werkstücks (40, 40'), umfas- send wenigstens eine Schweisselektrode (10a, 10a'; 10b, 10b') mit einem Elektrodenkörper (11a, 11b). Weiter sind Messmittel zur Erfassung der Temperatur der wenigstens einen Schweisselektrode (10a, 10a'; 10b, 10b') bzw. des Werkstücks (40, 40') durch Messung elektro- magnetischer Strahlung, vorzugsweise Infrarotstrahlung, vorgesehen. Die Messmittel umfassen wenigstens eine Aufnahmeeinheit zur Aufnahme der Strahlung sowie eine Wandlereinheit zur Erzeugung eines Signals, das wenigstens von einem Parameter der von der Aufnahmeeinheit aufgenommenen Strahlung abhängt. Erfindungsgemäss ist die wenigstens eine Aufnahmeeinheit der Messmittel räumlich im Bereich der wenigstens einen Schweisselektrode (10a, 10a'; 10b, 10b') angeordnet. Die Erfindung bezieht sich darüber hinaus auf eine besonders vorteilhaft gestaltete Schweisselektrode.
