Abstract

La présente invention concerne un médicament pour traiter des myomes de l'utérus, qui permet de protéger des propriétés biologiques et sexuelles chez la femme et qui n'induit aucune contre-indication associée à d'autres méthodes de traitement connues. Cette invention est représentée par un mélange de deux substances, le méthotrexate et la L-arginine. Le médicament pour traiter des myomes de l'utérus selon cette invention est composé de 5 g de méthotrexate, de 10 g de L-arginine et de 985 cm3 d'eau. La combinaison de ces deux substances dans une solution aqueuse fournit un mélange homogène dans lequel chaque composant conserve son identité chimique. Ledit médicament est appliqué le huitième jour de la phase folliculaire du cycle menstruel de patientes présentant des myomes de l'utérus. La patiente est mise en position de lithotomie, le spéculum vaginal est mis en place et le col de l'utérus est tiré à l'aide d'une pince à rouleau de façon à exposer le col de l'utérus externe. L'emballage est ouvert, l'aiguille de ponction est insérée dans le canal du col utérin et est dirigée en direction du myomètre, vers le côté où se trouve le myome. L'aiguille est poussée à travers l'endomètre, à une profondeur de 1 cm. Il est nécessaire de s'assurer que l'injection du médicament ait lieu à 1 cm de profondeur, afin d'éviter une éventuelle pénétration à travers la paroi utérine. Il faut aspirer afin de vérifier que l'aiguille ne se trouve pas dans un vaisseau sanguin et d'injecter lentement le médicament. La seringue et l'aiguille sont jetées après usage. Le mélange est appliqué sur trois cycles menstruels consécutifs. La méthode est simple, peut être pratiquée en consultation externe par un gynécologue, aucun guidage par échographie n'est nécessaire et l'approche transvaginale et transcervicale est mise en oeuvre. Ledit mélange induit le processus d'apoptose (mort cellulaire programmée), de façon à provoquer une nécrose, une dégénérescence ou une inflammation si toutes les mesures de précaution d'antisepsie sont respectées. On constate une réduction radicale à la fois de la perte de sang au cours des règles chez des femmes présentant un myome et du volume du myome. La dose appliquée étant très faible, la toxicité est négligeable. L'application de ce mélange conduit progressivement à la ménopause, sans perturber l'axe hypothalamo-hypophyso-gonadique. L'application de ce mélange n'induit aucune complication précoce ou tardive, spécifique à d'autres approches médicales dont la liste est donnée dans la partie contexte de l'invention. Après traitement avec ce médicament, le volume des myomes est réduit de 20-30%, aucune ablation chirurgicale n'est nécessaire, les myomes ne se développent plus et le volume des saignements menstruels devient normal.
