Abstract

The invention relates to a passenger seat (1) for a means of transport, in particular for an aircraft. Said seat comprises a base body (2) and a backrest, which is disposed in such a way that it can displaced in relation to the base body (2) between a sitting position and at least one resting position and a sitting surface, which is laterally delimited by at least one console that is configured as an armrest. The aim of the invention is to provide the passenger with a particularly high degree of comfort and privacy. This is achieved by the provision of a protective screen (6) in the console (5) which can be extended upwards from said console (5) and/or in the resting position of the seat a hood (3) can be pivoted over the head of the passenger.
