Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein medizinisches Instrument, wie Wundhaken, Gehirnspatel, Muskelspreizer, Scheidenspekulum und dgl., mit einem am Körper des zu operierenden oder zu untersuchenden Patienten (20) angreifenden Arbeitsteil (l; 12; 17-19; 25) zum Offenhalten einer Eingriffsstelle (21), wobei das Arbeitsteil (l; 12; 17-19; 25) vorderseitig eine Beleuchtungseinrichtung (4; 15; 29) zur Beleuchtung der Eingriffsstelle (21) aufweist. Um zu erreichen, dass das medizinische Instrument ohne aufwendige Zusatzeinrichtungen eine hohe Lichtintensität und eine präzise Ausleuchtung der Eingriffsstelle sicherstellt, ohne dass eine unzulässig hohe Erwärmung des Instrumentes im Bereich der Eingriffsstelle auftritt, schlägt die Erfindung vor, dass es sich bei der Beleuchtungseinrichtung (4; 15; 29) um mindestens eine weisses Licht erzeugende Leuchtdiode handelt, die über eine mindestens teilweise innerhalb des Arbeitsteiles (1; 12; 17-19; 25) angeordnete, elektrisch leitende Verbindung (9) mit einer ausserhalb des Arbeitsteiles (l; 12; 17-19; 25) befindlichen Stromquelle (10) verbunden ist.
