Abstract

L'invention concerne le procédé de fabrication d'un désoxydant à base d'aluminium. Ce procédé s'utilise en sidérurgie notamment dans la production de l'acier. Selon l'invention, le procédé de fabrication d'un désoxydant pour fonte à base d'aluminium hermétiquement fermé dans une gaine protectrice régulière en fonte consiste à couler un lingot d'aluminium d'une masse et d'une forme prédéterminées tenant compte du rapport final aluminium/fonte qui doit être compris dans les limites de 1: (1:4). Le lingot est placé par sa petite base dans un moule sur des appuis de pointus dont la hauteur est égale à l'épaisseur prédéterminée de la paroi de la gaine en fonte. On place sur la grande surface du lingot un couvercle qui est préalablement formé et qui a la même épaisseur prédéterminée. On verse la fonte fondue jusqu'à la hauteur quand le contour du couvercle est rempli, le lingot combiné étant refroidi jusqu'au point de solidification de la fonte, puis il est extrait du moule. Cette invention permet d'assurer une exactitude du poids des lingots et du rapport aluminium/fonte et d'obtenir une haute résistance de la gaine protectrice. Les lingots du désoxydant sont placés sous le jet d'acier dans la poche de coulée et ne flottent pas ceci permet d'améliorer l'absorption d'aluminium par l'acier et de réduire la consommation d'aluminium.
