Abstract

The invention relates to a spinning top comprising multiple tops which is essentially characterised in that it comprises two external elements, namely an upper element and a lower element. Said upper element takes the form of a spherical dome-shaped cap and the pole thereof comprises a recessed discoidal area in low relief that is fixed to a universal button which provides the kinetic inertia that is used to rotate the assembly by means of a compressed spring. The aforementioned lower element, which is fixed to said upper element by means of a peripheral collar, takes the form of an inverted cone shape having circumferential grooves which are peripheral or smooth, parallel or smooth. Both of said upper and lower elements are hollow so that other intermediary conical spinning tops can be inserted therein until the space is filled, each of said intermediary spinning tops decreasing in size in relation to the preceding top. The inventive spinning top is propelled using the aforementioned button or using a cord which is wound around the edge of the conical body thereof. According to the invention, at the moment when the spinning top is released, owing to inertia or the impact with the ground, the cap comes away, thereby enabling the release of the intermediary tops housed therein. In this way, all of the tops rotate, including the cap which is provided with a central shaft, together with and independently of the external body and in the same direction as said body.
