Abstract

L'invention concerne les séquences d'acide nucléique et d'acide aminé des sous-unités α1, α2, β et ε de l'acétyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) provenant d'un Streptomyces coelicolor. Cette structure de sous-unités diffère de celle des acyl-carboxylases connues. L'invention concerne également des substances et des procédés pour augmenter l'activité de l'ACCase et pour produire des métabolites secondaires (tels que des polycétides et surtout des antibiotiques) en provoquant l'expression dans un Streptomyces d'un tel acide nucléique. L'invention a encore trait à des procédés pour augmenter l'activité de l'ACCase et produire des métabolites secondaires (tels que des polycétides et surtout des antibiotiques) en mettant en culture un Streptomyces en présence d'un malonate exogène.
