Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, diese Vorrichtung so zu verbessern, daß mit ihrer Anwendung die aus der Bandwalzstraße oder aus einem Bundspeicher kommenden Walzbandbunde nicht nur aufgenommen, schwenkbewegt, abgewickelt und wieder abgenommen werden, sondern daß im Zusammenwirken mit solchen Schwenkbewegungen weitere Behandlungen des heran- und wieder abtransportierten Walzbandbundes vorgenommen werden können, wie z.B. bisher auf einem Bundvorbereitungshaspel die Bundinspektion, das Anbringen von Bundbindebändern bzw. das Entfernen der Bundbindebänder, die Bundmarkierung, das Bundwiegen usw. Diese Aufgabe wird dadurch gelöst, daß der Karussellträger mindestens zwei weitere, gegenüber den beiden Tragdornen jeweils um 90° versetzte Tragdorne aufweist, wobei zwischen Aufnahmeposition und Abwickelposition und zwischen Abwickelposition und Aufnahmeposition jeweils, um 90° winkelversetzt, weitere Behandlungspositionen zur Bundbindebandentfemung, Bundmarkierung, zum Bundbinden oder dergleichen vorgesehen sind. Dabei kann, wie die Erfindung weiter vorsieht, im Bereich der Abwickelposition ein ortsfest angeordneter, mit dem jeweilig gegenüberliegenden Tragdorn drehkuppelbarer Drehantrieb vorgesehen werden. Weiter kann im Bereich dieser Abwickelposition in der Bewegungsbahn des abgewickelten Bundbandes eine Bandschere vorgesehen werden. Hinter der Bandschere läßt sich eine Richteinrichtung anordnen. Anschließend schwenkt der Karussellträger KT um die Vertikalachse VA um 90° in Richtung des Pfeils S und bringt den Walzbandbund WB in die Position B. In dieser Position kann der Walzbandbund WB weiterbehandelt werden, bspw. kann das Bindeband entfernt werden. Die nächste Schwenkbewegung des Karussellträgers KT um 90° schwenkt den Walzbandbund WB in die Position C.
