The essence of the invention consists in the following: the base of hydrophobic polyalkylenguanidine or a mixture thereof with the base 1.6 diguanidingexane in equal parts, or the base 1.6 of diguanidingexane mixed with the base of low-molecular polygexametyleguanide in equal parts, or the mixtures of corresponding chlorides in equal parts dissolved in a suitable organic solution is added to a petroleum product possibly containing subtrade water.
