Abstract

The present invention relates to novel methods and compositions for the delivery of active agents. More specifically, the invention provides lipid nanotubules comprising a sphingolipid and at least one phospholipid. Preferably, the sphingolipid is a Ceramide and the phospholipid is soy lecithin. The lipid nanotubules can also comprise cholesterol. The lipid nanotubules of the invention are suitable for topical delivery of pharmaceutical or cosmaceutical agents.
