Tobacco having no nicotine
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to the tobacco filler comprising the tobacco leaf from which the nicotine harmful to the human body is depleted, and one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf, Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng; and the process for production thereof. In particular, the present invention relates to the tobacco filler from which the nicotine is depleted, which comprises 70 ~ 97weight% of the tobacco leaf out of nicotine, 3 ~ 30weight% of detail-cut one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf, Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng, and 0 ~4weight% of the additive used in the production of the tobacco; and the process of production thereof.
In 1956, it has been reported that the tobacco which a man has used as favorites for several centuries causes various cancers including lung cancer by the English and American scientific doctors. In 1964 and 1979, the American government issued a report, "Tobacco and Health" that revealed the harm of the tobacco is wide and various. Even though everyone knows that the smoking causes various diseases and harm to human body, it is very difficult to stop smoking since the nicotine in the tobacco is addictive. According to the publication of World Health Organization (WHO), the nicotine is defined as "the material that makes man dependent to the medicine mentally and physically, and be unable to stop smoking to destroy his mental and physical health in the end". Nicotine is classified as a deadly poisonous narcotic, since it is fatal in case that 40mg of the nicotine is injected to a human body at one time. A tobacco contains about 1.Omg of such a nicotine. For many years, various types of healthy tobacco have been invented. For example, a tobacco has been produced by mixing the edible and healthy medical plants with yellow-brown tobacco leaf, but in this tobacco, the nicotine which is a deadly poisonous narcotic is never reduced. And there are other kinds of tobacco which are produced with other leaves of medical plants. In this case, we can get the tobacco without the nicotine. However, the research on toxicity for this kind of tobacco has not made yet. Also, there is a problem that its taste and fragrance are so different from the commercial tobacco that it cannot attract the smoker.
The present inventors have made every effort to develop the tobacco not having the nicotine. As a result, the present inventors have invented the tobacco filler comprising the tobacco leaf from which the nicotine is depleted and one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf, Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng; and having the same taste and fragrance with the commercial tobacco. But it is not harmful to health since the nicotine is notably reduced.
The Summary of the Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide the tobacco filler comprising the tobacco leaf from which the nicotine harmful to the human body is depleted and one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf, Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng; and the process for production thereof.
The present invention provides the tobacco filler comprising 70-97 weight % of the tobacco leaf from which the nicotine is depleted; 3-30 weight % of detail-cut one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf. Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng; and 0-4 weight % of the additive used in the production of the tobacco, and the process for production thereof. Further, tobacco leaf of the present invention is coated with extracts of one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf. Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng.
The present invention provides the process of the production of the tobacco filler from which the nicotine is depleted, wherein the process comprises; 1) depleting the nicotine from the tobacco leaf (Step 1)
2) fermenting the said tobacco leaf (Step 2)
3) detail-cutting the tobacco leaf (Step 3)
4) extracting one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf, Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng(Step 4) 5) spraying the extract at the said Step 4 to coat the detail-cut tobacco leaf at the Step 3. and drying it(Step 5); and
6) mixing the tobacco leaf which is produced at the said Step 5 with the detail-cut one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf, Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng, and herein adding the additive usually used in the production of the tobacco(Step 6).
The above process of the production appears in detail hereinbelow;
Step 1 includes the process to deplete the nicotine, comprising washing the well-grown tobacco leaf; heating it by steam and drying it; putting it in the edible alcohol for 5-15 hours; drying it again: heating with hot water of 120 — 130 °C at the heat machine under high pressure for 2 hours; and then pressing the resulting tobacco leaf again with the high pressure. At Step 2. after depleting the nicotine in said way, the tobacco leaf from which the nicotine is depleted is naturally fermented at the temperature of between 70 °C and 90 °C and at the relative humidity of between 40% and 60% for 20 ~ 30 hours.
At Step 3. the fermented tobacco leaf is cut in detail.
At Step 4, one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf, Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng are washed with clear water, and then extracted by the hot water for 1 hour.
At Step 5, the tobacco leaf produced at said Step 3 is spray-coated with the extract at Step 4, and then it is dried.
At Step 6, the well-grown one or more selected from the group consisting of green tea leaf. Duchoong leaf, mugwort and ginseng are washed with clear water, heated by steam and dried.
