Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé d'extraction de plomb qui consiste à envoyer de l'hydroxyde de potassium en fusion, des matières premières contenant du plomb et un gaz contenant de l'oxygène dans une zone de réaction à une température de 600 à 700° C. Le plomb est extrait de la zone de réaction et l'on effectue une première lixiviation aqueuse permettant d'obtenir une suspension qui consiste en un mélange comprenant des particules solides de sulfate de potassium, de carbonate de potassium, de sulfures de zinc, de cuivre, de fer et de roches stériles, ainsi qu'une solution aqueuse comprenant essentiellement de l'hydroxyde de potassium. On filtre ensuite la suspension et l'on obtient une solution contenant essentiellement de l'hydroxyde de potassium et des résidus solides. La solution d'hydroxyde de potassium est ensuite soumise à une évaporation, et l'hydroxyde de potassium en fusion ainsi obtenu est envoyé vers la zone de réaction. Après la première étape de lixiviation et de rinçage, les résidus solides sont soumis à une seconde lixiviation aqueuse où l'on introduit une solution inverse et de l'acide sulfurique tout en maintenant le pH entre 6 et 8. On obtient ainsi une suspension que l'on filtre de manière à obtenir un pain que l'on rince à l'eau et que l'on retire du processus. On retire ensuite les cristaux de sulfate de potassium de la solution aqueuse et saturée de sulfate de potassium, lesdits cristaux étant retirés du processus. La solution mère résultant de la cristallisation du sulfate de potassium est ensuite associée à l'eau de rinçage du pain, puis soumise à une seconde lixiviation.
