Abstract

The invention concerns a tyre (1) comprising at least a first bead (12), whereof the seat (12B) is inclined outwards, and a radial body ply reinforcement (13), viewed in meridian cross-section, wound in each bead (12) around at least an annular reinforcing element (14), from inside outwards to form a ply turn-up (130) extending in a profile (3) of rubber mix (30) in the form of a wedge delimited by two sides (31, 32) derived from a crown A located under the annular element (14) section, the rubber mix forming the profile (3), axially adjacent to the annular element (14), having a high Shore A hardness. The invention is characterised in that the meridian profile of the body ply reinforcement (13), when the tyre is mounted on its rim for use (2) and inflated to its pressure for use, has a constant curvature direction in the sidewalls and first bead and whereof the tangent TT' at the point of tangency T of said profile with the annular element (14) of said bead (12) forms with the axis of rotation an angle ø open outwards ranging between 45° and 70°.
