Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à la production enzymatique de GDP-6-désoxyhexoses à partir d'un GDP-D-mannose, d'un mannose-1-phosphate ou d'un mannose-6-phosphate en présence d'enzymes adéquats tels qu'une GDP-D-mannose-4,6-déhydratase et éventuellement une GDP-4-kéto-6-désoxy-D-mannose-3,5-épimérase-4-réductase ou une GDP-4-kéto-6-désoxy-D-mannose-4-réductase. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de coupler les hexoses activés par GDP obtenus à des oligosaccharides ou polysaccharides par des glycosyltransférases, p.ex. des fucsyltransférases.
