Abstract

L'invention concerne un chariot de manutention, en particulier un élévateur-gerbeur, comprenant au moins un élément de fixation basculant pour un dispositif de direction, en particulier ayant au moins une colonne de direction (4). L'invention est caractérisée en ce que l'élément de fixation basculant est relié, par l'intermédiaire d'un élément amortissant son mouvement basculant et/ou produisant une force élastique, directement ou indirectement, avec le chariot, de préférence avec son châssis. L'élément amortisseur et/ou produisant la force élastique peut être réalisé sous la forme d'au moins un amortisseur pneumatique (6), de préférence sous forme d'un amortisseur pneumatique à blocage, ledit amortisseur présentant de préférence des moyens de limitation de l'effort.
