  • the present invention is concerned with a method and a device for use in the installation of railway track, consisting of a number of rollers which are each mounted in a yoke which is adjustably and detachably mounted in a special beam.
  • Rails are obtainable today in considerable lengths (currently 360 metres). During track installation, a large quantity of rails may need to be transported together to the desired location on the formation to be laid on the sleepers. Rails lying side by side on e.g. rail-bound trucks can be difficult to unload to the desired point on the formation. The position of the rails on the truck has to be corrected as unloading proceeds. The converse applies when rails are to be taken up for removal and perhaps reuse elsewhere. There is a lack of equipment which meets this need in a simple manner. The present invention achieves this.

Abstract

On décrit un procédé et un dispositif destinés à être utilisés pour installer des voies ferrées. Lorsqu'on pose des rails longs pour installer des voies ferrées il est souhaitable que la position des rails sur des wagons plats de transport, par exemple, puisse être commandée et si nécessaire corrigée pour correspondre à la position désirée des rails sur la formation. C'est le cas si un certain nombre de galets (1) sont ajustés l'un par rapport à l'autre et par rapport au galet qui est le plus proche de la position désirée sur la formation. Pour ce faire, on monte le galet (1) dans une voie portative (2) pourvue d'un essieu (3) monté de manière réglable dans une poutre spéciale (5). La configuration du galet par rapport à la poutre peut être bloquée au moyen d'un mécanisme approprié (6 et 7). Pour permettre le mouvement des rails entre deux galets, ces derniers sont conçus avec des bords quelque peu arrondis. Pour assurer une meilleure mobilité au dispositif, le galet (1), la voie portative (2) et l'essieu (3) sont construits sous forme d'une unité détachable. Le mécanisme associé (6) qui permet de bloquer le galet (1) dans la configuration désirée peut être détaché de l'essieu (3).
