Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un système de sécurité servant à surveiller un guichet automatique (ATM). Ce système comprend plusieurs caméras situées au niveau du guichet automatique et disposées de façon à prendre au moins une image d'une personne initialisant une transaction sur le guichet automatique. Des supports d'enregistrement sont installés dans le guichet automatique pour stocker numériquement les images prises par les caméras. Ce système est configuré pour transférer numériquement les images vers les supports d'enregistrement et vers au moins un point distant, où les images sont visualisées. Dans un premier aspect de cette invention, ce système permet un accès sélectif aux données d'image stockées dans le guichet automatique et une possibilité de recherche de ces données. Dans un second aspect de cette invention, les informations sont stockées dans le guichet automatique selon un mode qui permet une meilleure efficacité de recherche. Dans un troisième aspect de cette invention, ledit système peut comporter une section de sécurité ayant des caméras qui prennent des images ou fournissent des indications en réponse à un ou plusieurs évènements autres que l'initialisation de transactions.
