Abstract
Description
WandbeschichtungWall coating
The invention relates to a decorative wall coating, which is preferably used in the interior wall area.
Walls and ceilings of interiors are very often embellished with wallpapers of all kinds, unless other finishing materials such as wood, natural stone cladding or imitations made of plastics are used.
Wallpaper regularly consists of various carrier materials, the surface of which faces the space to be designed is changed by color printing or decorative layers for the purpose of maintaining a structure. After their wear, these wallpapers, which are glued to the substrate, are removed using special methods. This is done purely mechanically or by moistening prior to mechanical removal in order to soften the adhesive that holds the wallpaper to the wall. The removed wallpaper is then disposed of.
There has therefore been no shortage of attempts to replace this type of decorative change in interiors with other techniques, by carrying out a strapless coating of wall surfaces. Such a solution is described in OS 43 17 957 by providing a mixture of cellulose particles smaller than 3 mm, water-soluble glue and an emulsifier, as well as other admixtures made of mica for glitter effects, color admixtures and wood particles as a dry mixture and the dry particles in empirically determined predetermined proportions are mixed together. This coating device is made from cellulose, which is preferably made from recycled waste paper and is then available in a fiber length of 0.05 to 2 mm. Due to the starting materials, according to the invention, approximately a third of the dry matter intended for use consists of cellulose.
The object of the invention is to further improve a wall coating of such a basic composition by adapting it to other materials occurring in nature with regard to the desired decoration.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that mineral components are added to cell structures. These mineral components are stone powder and / or broken additives of suitable grain size. Furthermore, it is possible that cellulose particles with a fiber length greater than 4 mm are admixed with this mixture. These cellulose particles are hemp cellulose, cotton cellulose, flax cellulose and / or sisal cellulose. It is irrelevant whether the flax cellulose is one that has been obtained from the fiber plant types spinach or oil flax. The same finding relates to the possible use of raw fibers from these fiber plant types.
The mineral components used are of a uniform or different or different mineral structure. It is also possible that additional natural fibers are added, regardless of whether the mixture is in the dry or (more or less moist) final state.
The use of wieter natural fibers in the form of long-fiber hemp, cotton, flax, oil flax and / or sisal cellulose leads to a good bond between the fibers. In order to achieve further decor effects and at the same time to use other by-products resulting from finishing processes, which have their origin in the already mentioned and processed natural materials so-called cockroaches, namely waste products from the processing of hemp, flax, cotton or sisal, can also be used or mixed in after their cleaning. Similarly, raw fibers of the plant species mentioned, waste from grain production or chopped straw can be added exclusively or in addition. Straw is preferably chopped to a length of 3 to 5 cm.
By applying the mixture according to the invention after adding liquid to a wall to be coated, a decorative water-vapor and air-permeable coating with good filling properties and high thermal insulation is achieved using local renewable raw materials, although the coating obtained has a stone-like surface.
Additional decorative effects can be achieved by a multilayer partial application and / or partial coloring, as well as by adding decorative chips.
The mixture to be applied can additionally or alternatively be admixed with phosphorescent and / or fluorescent additives in order to bring about further desired decorative effects. It is also possible to additionally stabilize the surface with suitable additives, if this should be necessary due to the expected stress. These stabilizing additives can also be water-soluble.
Fire-retardant additives or self-extinguishing additives can also be added, as can additives that are of the type of a bacteriostatic and / or have a dirt-repellent effect.
It is also possible to add light aggregates such as perlite to the basic mixture to achieve other structural effects. These should advantageously be added in a grain size equal to or less than 3 mm. The invention will be described in more detail below using two exemplary embodiments.

There is an intensive mixing with water and then swelling in water until the resulting product has a sufficient viscosity with reference to the technology of application. The mixture can also be processed after days off. The result is a flexible interior coating with high thermal and acoustic insulation, which has a natural decor and can be reprocessed at any later time after mechanical removal from the surface.
Of course, it is also possible to transport the mixture intended for processing to the construction site in the state ready for processing and to make it available there or to add a sufficient amount of water.
From the raw material base, the hemp cellulose used is a raw material that grows annually, which is available in sufficient quantities, especially when using landscaped areas, and can be obtained advantageously.
As further admixtures of mineral nature, in addition to the rock flour already mentioned, broken minerals such as marble powder and / or quartz gravel can be used. Components containing quartz provide additional optical effects through the generated gloss or glitter effects.
