Abstract

Cette invention concerne un nouveau profil de pale pour propulseur hydraulique. Cette pale est conçue pour fonctionner à des régimes où les effets de cavitation et de ventilation sont absents, et possède des coefficients élevés d'efficacité, de force de sustentation et de rapidité d'écoulement sans cavitation. Cette pale possède une surface convexe d'aspiration, une surface convexe-concave de refoulement, ainsi que des bords d'attaque et de fuite. La surface d'aspiration possède une section de courbure élevée dans la région du bord de fuite, tandis que le point d'inflexion de la ligne définissant la surface de refoulement, se situe à une distance qui équivaut de 0,6 à 0,9 fois la longueur de la corde depuis le bord d'attaque.
