Abstract

The present invention is in the form of a long thin round wire-like metal object approximately 1 mm in diameter, machined to produce peaks and troughs on a section of its surface with a handle on one end. The device is drawn through a pierced ear to remove debris. The debris from the body is captured in the troughs of the device and it is removed from the instrument with a tissue or other cleaning material. The cleaning device would be preferably made from metal, possibly stainless steel, however other metals may be suitable.

Description

PIERCED EAR CLEANER
The followmg mformation describes the form and function of this device
This mvention relates to personal hygiene m the form of a pierced ear cleaner ( it can also be used for other sections of the body which has been pierced for jewelry ) The present mvention is in the form of a long thm round wire like metal object approximately 1mm in diameter, machmed to produce peaks and troughs on a section of its surface with a handle on one end ( The peaks and troughs in the drawmgs are at 90 degrees to the metal object, however m another form of manufacture this angle could be varied to produce a screw like or drill like machinmg of these peaks and troughs ) The device is drawn through the pierced ear to remove debris The debris from the body pierced hole is captured m the troughs of the device and it is then removed from the instrument with a tissue or other cleanmg material
The cleanmg device would be preferably made from metal, possibly stainless steel, however other metals may be suitable
In one form of the mvention the handle of the device could be mcorporated m the one piece of material durmg manufacture in another form of the mvention the handle could be manufactured separately and from another material and later secured to the cleanmg device
In yet another form, with or without a handle, the device could alter in shape such as bemg manufactured m a circle, square, oval etc with its primary function of cleanmg body pierced jewelry holes bemg maintained
To assist with the understanding of the invention, reference will now be made to the accompanying drawmgs which show one example of the mvention
In the drawmgs
FIG 1 shows one example of a pierced ear cleanmg device accordmg to this mvention
FIG 2 shows the application of a pierced ear cleaner to the ear
Referrmg to FIG 1 it can be seen that the pierced ear cleaner comprises a round wire like piece of metal that is machmed mto peaks and troughs on a section of its length and has a handle formed mto a ring at the end
Referrmg to FIG 2 it can be seen how the pierced ear cleaner is inserted into the pierced ear hole capturing the debris that has collected m the hole by the troughs in the devices surface The debris can then be removed from the device bv a tissue or other cleaning material

Claims

PIERCED EAR CLEANER
Claims defining the invention are as follows,
Claim 1
My invention is used for the purpose of assisting with personal hygiene by cleaning body pierced jewelry holes, removing debris such as bodily secreted oil deposits and dead skin cells etc from the body pierced jewelry holes by capturing the deposit in the instruments peaks and troughs ( machined onto the surface of the device ) as it is pushed into the body pierced hole.
Claim 2
This device also reduces the risk of body pierced jewelry hole infections by removing debris such as bodily secreted oil deposits and dead skin cells etc from the body pierced jewelry holes that may harbor bacteria.
Claim 3
This device in one or more of its form of manufacture could also be worn as decoration to the body as well as serving its primary function as stated above in claim 1 and Claim 2.
