Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for spray painting cylindrical bodies while avoiding paint loss through overspray and paint aerosols.
  • the method can be applied in particular to rotating cylindrical bodies for their exterior and interior painting. It is particularly suitable for the interior painting of cans that are open on one side. It can be done continuously.
  • the conventional spray painting of open cylindrical hollow bodies, in particular cans is described, for example, in US Pat. No. 4,246,300.
  • the inside is sprayed out individually with a spray varnish using the cycle method, can by can.

  • the object of the invention is to provide a method in which this paint loss during spray painting is prevented and disposal measures and environmental damage are avoided.
  • This object is achieved by the method forming a subject of the invention for spray painting the inner and / or outer surfaces of rotating cylindrical objects, which is characterized in that the result of the painting of an object to be painted the overspray is almost completely absorbed by at least one further object to be painted.
