Abstract

A method for manufacturing cardboard corner pieces from at least one cardboard web (1a, 1b, 1c) and two or more coating webs (2a, 2b) consisting of another material. Said method is characterized in that it involves supplying and glueing the cardboard web or webs (1a, 1b, 1c) on top of each other and onto a first coating web (2a) which is broader than said cardboard webs; folding the longitudinal edges of the coating web (2a) until they are folded over the free side of the last cardboard web (1c); glueing a second coating web (2b) having substantially the same width as the cardboard webs over the folded-over portions of the first coating web (2a) and the free side of said last cardboard web (1c); and folding the assembly thereby obtained along its length to form a substantially right-angled corner piece (7). A device for implementing the method, and the product thereby obtained, are also described.
