Definitions

  • Packaging for food in particular baked goods, such as bread, cake or the like.
  • the invention relates to a packaging for foodstuffs to be exposed after the packaging of a heat treatment, in particular baked goods such as bread, cakes or the like, made of a packaging material enveloping the foodstuffs, in particular of heat-sealable composite or plastic film, with at least at least a sealed seam in the area of overlapping edges of the packaging.
  • Baked goods such as sliced bread, sliced toast or the like, are usually wrapped in thin-walled packaging film and then, e.g. B. sealed by sealing. To improve the shelf life of the packaged baked goods They are then sterilized or pasteurized after packaging, specifically at elevated temperatures. With this type of heat treatment, water vapor is generated inside the packaging with the formation of a corresponding excess pressure. This can lead to the packaging bursting at weak points or opening, and spores leading to mold formation being able to penetrate within a very short time.
  • a package consisting of a polyvinyl chloride bag is known, which is welded or glued on its open side by pressure and heat.
  • an additional small hole is provided in the packaging, which must be closed by an adhesive strip at the end of the packaging process.
  • This type of packaging is complex since an opening must additionally be provided in the packaging material and this opening must also be additionally closed. This closing not only requires an additional work step, but also has to be carried out immediately after the sterilization, because otherwise mold spores can penetrate again through the opening.
  • Certain baked goods, e.g. B. toast bread are very soft when heated and therefore not manageable. In particular, no stickers can be applied in this state. This is only possible again in the cooled state.
  • the invention is not limited to a specific packaging system. Rather, it can be used, inter alia, in the case of tubular packaging, full wrapping or packaging in ready-made bags.
  • the main application is in the field of tubular bag packaging.
