Definitions
- the invention relates to a lifting jack according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a known lifting jack of this type has a frame with a handle, on the lower end of which a wheel set is fastened.
- a spindle runs in the longitudinal direction of the frame, to the spindle nut of which a slide is slidably mounted in the frame and onto which the load can be placed.
- loads of up to 500 kilograms can also be transported over steps.
- the lift jack is inclined on the lower step of the stair until the lower end of the slide is supported on the floor.
- the spindle is then operated with a battery-operated motor and the frame is moved upwards until the wheels are level with the second step. By tilting the wheels are placed on this second step.
- the carriage carrying the load is then moved upwards by the spindle until the carriage can be parked on a step below the wheels.
- the jack is then tilted again, causing the wheelset to lift off the step.
- the frame is again moved up so far that the wheels can be lowered to the next higher step.
- the game repeats itself until the load on the landing is conveyed. Conversely, the load can also be conveyed down stairs.
- the object of the invention is to provide a device which is simple in construction and with which the lifting jack can be securely held stationary when a load is being transported over a staircase and this transportation is made easier.
- a pivotable cycling shoe is provided on each wheel, which is pivoted when the load is transported over a staircase into such a position that the lifting jack is supported on a footprint of this cycling shoe on a stair step. If the cycling shoe is no longer required, it can be swiveled to its rest position and in this position e.g. are held by a bolt in which the wheel is released and the lifting jack can be pulled or pushed in a rolling manner in a conventional manner.
- the cycling shoe preferably has an operating lever which is operated by the operator of the lifting jack with his foot in order to bring the cycling shoe into one of its operating positions.
- the cycling shoe can e.g. have the shape of a hood that partially surrounds the wheel, the flat base being provided with a friction- or stair-protecting covering.
- support rods can be provided in the cycling shoe, which can be extended to different lengths. Particularly in the case of narrow steps, these extension bars can serve to additionally support the lifting jack on a step below the cycling shoe. It has also been found that a further simplification of the transport of the load by stairs can be achieved, even if the such extension rods are provided.
- the Hubhe ⁇ over is then supported using this extension rods on a stair step below the Rad michs from, so that the lower "end of the carriage is located with the load in height of the stair, rests on the well of the wheel shoe.
- This extension rods can be by a screw /
- the load is mainly closer to the wheel axis and therefore cheaper.
- such a construction makes it easier to transport a load, for example, also over narrow spiral stairs .

- 5a, 5b and 5c a view and sections through an extension rod of a cycling shoe
- Fig. 6 shows another embodiment of a lifting jack according to the invention.
- a lifting jack 1 has, as essential parts, a frame 2, a spindle 3 running centrally in its longitudinal direction, two wheels 4 connected to the frame 2 near its lower end, and a slide 5 which is slidably mounted on the frame and on which a load 6 can be stored.
- the frame 2 has two longitudinal struts 7 which are connected to one another at the upper end of the lifting jack 1 by a crossmember 8. There is also a handle 9 in the form of several brackets.
- the two longitudinal struts 7 are connected to one another by a drive box 10, in which a battery-operated drive motor for the spindle 3 is arranged.
- the carriage 5 has two longitudinal struts 12 which are connected to one another by a plurality of cross members 14, the bottom cross member being provided with a blade 15 against which the load is supported. With this blade 15 a turntable 16 is connected so that the lifting jack, placed on this turntable 16, can be rotated about the axis of rotation of the turntable. In particular, this facilitates maneuvering of the lifting jack, for example on narrow steps.
- the top crossmember 14 of the carriage 5 is connected to a spindle nut running on the spindle 3, so that the slide 5 can be moved along the frame 2 in both directions by actuating the drive motor.
- a wheel shoe 22 is pivotally mounted on the wheel axis 21 of each wheel 4 and in this case has the shape of a hood partially enclosing the wheel with an approximately rectangular plan view.
- this cycling shoe 22 On its side facing away from the wheel, this cycling shoe 22 has a flat standing surface 23, which is covered with a covering 24 that is gentle on the friction or stairs.
- the cycling shoe 22 In the inoperative position of the cycling shoe shown in FIG. 1, it is held by locking elements 27 in such a way that the wheel 4 is released and the lifting jack can be pushed or pulled in a rolling manner.
- the cycling shoe 22 has an operating lever 25 which can be pushed by the operator of the lifting jack with his foot in order to bring the cycling shoe 22 into the operating position shown in FIG. 2, in which the lifting jack 1 on a staircase 26 through the cycling shoe 22 is supported.
- the lifting jack with the attached load 6 is pushed or pulled on the wheels 4 in a rolling manner. If the load is to be transported via the stairs 26 with, for example, five steps S1 to S5, then the lifting jack, as shown in FIG. 3a, is pulled up to the lowest step S1 and inclined so that the carriage 5 with its shovel 15 on the Supports the ground. By actuating the spindle 3, the frame 2 is moved upward in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 3a, and thus the wheels are lifted off the ground. Then the operating lever 25 is pushed so that the cycling shoe 22 by gravity pivots into a vertical position in which the standing surface 23 lies vertically under the wheel 4.
- the frame 2 is moved with the wheels 4 with the aid of the spindle 3 until the cycling shoe 22 can be lowered to the step S2; see. Fig. 3b.
- the lift jack is held securely and still remains pivotable about the wheel axis, which is necessary for the lift jack to function.
- the spindle 3 is actuated in order to move the carriage 5 upwards, until it can be supported on the step S1, as shown in FIG. 3c.
- the load rests securely on the cycling shoes 22 during this shifting process. This process is repeated until the load can be placed on the landing at step S5. If the staircase bends, the lifting jack is rotated on the turntable 16 and transported in the same way over the next staircase. If the lifting jack is then to be moved again in the plane, the cycling shoes 22 are brought back into the locking position according to FIG. 1.
- FIG. 4 shows a lifting jack 1 which corresponds in construction to the lifting jack according to FIGS. 1 and 2 except for the design of the cycling shoe.
- Each cycling shoe 22 * of this lifting jack has an extension rod 31 with a base 32, which is oriented vertically in the operating position of the cycling shoe 22 'when a load is being transported over a staircase and with a guide 33 and a screw / bayonet connection 34 from the cycling shoe .22 * extended and can be determined in any length.
- the lifting jack 1 is used when transporting a load over a " narrow spiral staircase in which the entire base area of the cycling shoe 22 'does not rest on a step.
- the extension rod 31 becomes then extended so far that the base plate 32 rests on the step below and thus supports the lifting jack.
- This construction enables the lifting jack to be supported on stairs of different heights.
- the extension rods 31 are rods which are stepped in their longitudinal direction and which have a thread in their central region.
- the rods are inserted with their tapered end through a slotted nut 34 and with an upper stepped area into the slotted guide 33 and then screwed into the nut 34 with their thread to the desired length.
- the lifting jack 1 according to FIG. 5 also corresponds in construction to the lifting jack according to FIGS. 1 and 2, only the slide 5 ′ being modified in such a way that 12 extension rods 41 are provided on its outer struts, which, similar to the extension rods 31, are provided with two screw / bayonet connections 42 can be extended parallel to the longitudinal struts of the slide and locked in any position.
- the lifting jack is thus no longer supported directly on the shovel 15 of the slide during transport over a staircase, but rather via flat irons 43 which are welded to the extension rods 41.
- the center of gravity of the load is more favorable than in the previously mentioned embodiments; in addition, transport over narrow spiral staircases is easier, with only one of the extension rods then having to be extended.
