Abstract

Un véhicule comprend, en tant que source première de puissance, une roue volante (6) laquelle est reliée à une roue motrice (D) du véhicule par l'intermédiaire d'un mécanisme de transmission (16) à réglage continu. Ledit mécanisme de transmission comprend des éléments d'entraînement coniques (53, 54, 82), un élément de transmission sphérique (55, 31) se trouvant entre les surfaces coniques, servant à transmettre les forces rotatives d'un élément d'entraînement à l'autre. Ainsi l'énergie de rotation provenant de la roue volante peut être transmise à la roue motrice lors de l'accélération du véhicule, ou être transmise de ladite roue motrice à ladite roue volante lors du ralentissement dudit véhicule. Ledit véhicule est destiné à un système de transport dans lequel il suit un itinéraire prédéterminé, ladite roue volante étant rechargée soit à l'aide d'un moyen mécanique soit à l'aide d'un moyen électrique, au terminus (L) de la ligne du véhicule.
