Definitions
- the invention relates to a cable bushing with an electrical plug connection for passing a cable through an opening in a device wall.
- the socket part of the plug connection is often screwed as a fixed socket to the device wall or a supporting structural wall, after which the plug part is then pushed into this fixed socket and locked in the inserted position.
- a cable bushing is known in which an insertion sleeve can be inserted into the opening of the device wall and connected to it.
- the insertion sleeve has an intermediate base approximately in its center, in which contact pins projecting into both clear halves are fastened.
- the intermediate floor connected to the contact pins serves as a coupling element between two socket parts in this cable bushing, but this means that the number of electrical contact connections is exactly doubled compared to a conventional plug connection made of a plug and socket part, which lowers the contact reliability. Otherwise, it would be conceivable to design the intermediate base serving as a contact carrier so that it has contact pins on one side and sockets on the other side, so that a socket part and a plug part are inserted on one side of the insertion sleeve and on the other side of the insertion sleeve can. However, this does not change the number of contact connections. In addition, the insertion sleeve is complex in construction and with a correspondingly large number of contact pins also has a relatively high weight, which can be used in many applications, for. B. in aircraft construction, just wants to avoid.
- the invention has for its object to provide a cable bushing with a connector that is easy to manufacture, light in weight, easy to assemble and disassemble, has good contact security and with which the wiring can be quickly converted and replaced if necessary.
- a simple sleeve with a clear opening is used in a cable bushing according to the invention, which is inserted through the installation opening of the device wall and, for. B. with the help of a collar or a flange, is connected to the device wall.
- the plug part is then inserted into the clear opening of the sleeve from one side and the socket part from the other side.
- guide devices are provided both on the sleeve and on the contact parts, which also facilitate insertion.
- Management facilities are e.g. B. a longitudinal groove in the inner wall of the sleeve and associated lugs on the contact parts.
- the contact parts inserted into the sleeve and electrically connected to one another can then be locked in a conventional manner with the sleeve.
- Bayonet throws etc. are also possible. With appropriate elastic seals between these throws and the actual contact housing, a certain contact pressure can also be maintained between the contact parts, so that they are held firmly and vibration-free.
- a gas-tight and corrosion-proof cable entry is possible.
- the plug part and socket part can be inserted and locked into the sleeve from both sides, the order being irrelevant. This also makes assembly easier.
- a cable bushing according to the invention enables the contact point to be released quickly and easily, both on the part of the plug part and of the socket part. If the wiring is changed, only the connector part needs to be unlocked and new contact pins installed. This enables the cables to be quickly converted and replaced, even at locations that are difficult to access.
- the cable feedthrough is easy to produce, since only the simple sleeve is required in addition to a conventional electrical plug connection with a socket and a plug part. The additional manufacturing costs are therefore only low; in addition, the weight of the entire cable bushing is only slightly greater than that of the two contact parts.
- the electrical contact security of the cable bushing according to the invention corresponds to that of a simple conventional plug connection made from the socket part and the plug part, and accordingly has no additional electrical contact connections which impair the contact safety and thus also the contact resistance of the plug connection.
- the sleeve is independent of the contact pattern of the plug part and the socket part, i. H. on the number and distribution of the electrical contacts, but only depending on the outer sleeve of the connector.

- Fig. 4 is a view of the sleeve installed in a device wall.
- a sleeve 3 In a device wall 1 there is an opening 2 through which a sleeve 3 is inserted for a cable feedthrough.
- the sleeve 3 is fastened to the device wall and for this purpose carries a peripheral flange 4 which bears against the device wall 1.
- the attachment is carried out with a lock nut 5, which is screwed onto an external thread 6 of the sleeve and on which the device wall 1 rests, so that the sleeve 3 is firmly clamped.
- the sleeve 3 has a clear opening 7 and a groove 8 running along a surface line on the inside.
- a plug part 11 and a socket part 12 of a conventional plug connection can be inserted into the sleeve from opposite sides.
- the plug part 11 has an essentially cylindrical housing 12, at the rear end of which a multi-core cable 13 is inserted, the individual wires of which are each connected to a contact piece 14 on the front side of the plug part 1.
- the contact pins 14 are, as usual, in the interior of a recess 15 in the housing 12.
- a union nut 16 is also mounted on the housing 12 and can be screwed onto the correspondingly formed external thread 6 of the sleeve with an internal thread 17, preferably a coarse thread.
- a nose 18 is also provided, which can engage in the longitudinal groove 8 of the sleeve.
- the socket part 12 has a housing 21, in the rear end of which a multi-core cable 22 is inserted, the individual wires of which are connected to sockets 23 which protrude up to the front end face of the housing.
- a union nut 24 is mounted with an internal thread 25 which fits into the external thread 6 of the sleeve.
- a nose 26 is provided on the circumference of the socket housing 21, which fits into the longitudinal groove 8 of the sleeve 3.
- a centering lug 27 is provided on the area of the socket housing 21, in which the sockets 23 are received, which is tapered towards the front side and can engage in a corresponding guide groove 28 in the inner wall of the front connector part housing 12.
- a contact part usually the socket part 12
- the socket part 12 is first inserted into the sleeve 3, the lug 26 engaging in the longitudinal groove 8.
- the housing 21 of the socket part 12 has a diameter in this area corresponding to the inside width of the opening 7 of the sleeve, so that this area of the housing lies flush against the inner wall of the sleeve 3.
- the socket part is locked by tightening the union nut 24 on the external thread 6 of the sleeve 3.
- the plug part 11 is inserted into the sleeve, the nose 18 also engaging in the longitudinal groove 8 and the front region of the Plug housing 12 with the contact pins with its outer wall fits snugly against the inner wall of the sleeve 3.
- the centering lug 27 of the socket part 12 engages in the guide groove 28 of the plug part 11 and finally the contact pins 14 of the plug part 11 also dip into the sockets 23 of the socket part 12.
- the recess 15 of the plug part surrounds the front area of the socket housing 21; the end face of the plug part 11 lies directly on a shoulder 29 of the socket part.
- flexible sealing rings 31 are arranged, which are pressed in when the union nut is tightened between the end face of the sleeve 3 and the rear wall of the union nut.
- the sleeve 3 is a separate component.
- the sleeve 3 can also be a part integrated with the device wall 1. This is e.g. B. advantageous if the device wall 1 is a circuit board or the like.
- Device wall 1 and sleeve 3 can be made in one piece, for. B. as a plastic injection molded part, or, for. B. with the help of a weld, be permanently connected.
