Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for spraying substances, in particular liquid, pasty and / or powdery substances, consisting of a container with an opening which can be closed by a lid, and a spray nozzle arranged in the container wall.
- spray cans have mainly been used for spraying substances which, in addition to a substance to be sprayed, also contain a propellant gas which, when a valve is opened, emerges together with the substance from a spray nozzle.
- a propellant gas which, when a valve is opened, emerges together with the substance from a spray nozzle.
- Such spray cans are thrown away after emptying. Since approximately 600 million empty spray cans are produced in Germany alone, such single-use spray cans are no longer acceptable for environmental reasons and because of the waste of raw materials (steel, aluminum). Added to this is the fact that the propellant gases commonly used have a harmful effect on the earth's atmosphere. Because of the "disposable" design, such spray cans are expensive and uneconomical. There is therefore a need for spray containers that can be refilled without restriction.
- a device for spraying substances which consists of a container with an opening that can be closed by a lid.
- a substance to be sprayed can be poured into the container interior in bulk through the opening.
- the filling of the container with loose substances is cumbersome and may even be dangerous for the user for certain substances if he z. B. comes into skin contact with the substance, or if the substance z. B. contains volatile and toxic additives.
- filling with loose substances is always associated with a risk of pollution of the environment.
- the loose materials are difficult to trade due to the large and therefore very heavy containers.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a device of the generic type which allows easy and economical refillability for everyone, but nevertheless ensures easy tradability of the substances to be sprayed and keeps environmental pollution from waste materials and propellant gases as low as possible.
- an insert container filled with substance to be sprayed can be used in the container interior, which consists of a material which is sealed for the substance to be sprayed, and the interior of which is connected to the spray nozzle when the device is closed.
- all that is required to fill the device according to the invention is to open the lid of the container and to insert the insert container through the container opening into the container interior, thereby advantageously avoiding contact with the substance to be sprayed.
- the filling can be carried out simply, quickly and cleanly.
- the insert container is a readily tradable, easily and inexpensively transportable and storable one-way packaging, although raw materials are saved in an environmentally friendly manner due to the reusability or refillability of the outer container.
- the insert container consists essentially of cardboard and cardboard and inside by suitable means such as. B. a plastic coating or sealed by a bag-like inner container.
- suitable means such as. B. a plastic coating or sealed by a bag-like inner container.
- This training also helps to ensure that the environmental impact of waste can be kept low.
- the substance is sprayed according to the invention either by means of an atomizer pump or, in a further development of the invention, by means of compressed air introduced into the outer container, which advantageously also eliminates the pollution of the atmosphere by harmful propellant gases. Further advantageous design features of the invention are contained in the subclaims and the following description.
- FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a first embodiment of the device according to the invention for spraying substances
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view of an insert container of the device according to the invention with the wall partially cut away
- Fig. 4 is a perspective view illustrating the insertion of the insert container 5 shows a longitudinal section through a further embodiment of the device according to the invention.
- the container 1 orders a device according to the invention for spraying substances from a pressure vessel 1 with an opening 3 which can be closed in a pressure-tight manner by a cover 2 (see also FIG. 4).
- the container 1 and the lid 2 delimit a container interior 4 and are preferably made of metal, e.g. As aluminum or steel, or from a high-strength plastic.
- the cover 2 is preferably as shown - designed as a cap-shaped screw cap with an internal thread that can be screwed onto an external thread of the pressure vessel 1. However, it is within the scope of the invention, e.g. B. to provide a lockable plug cover.
- suitable securing means against unintentional opening of the pressurized container 1 should be provided. These securing means can, for example, from a locking screw to be screwed through a radial threaded bore of the cover 2 against the pressure vessel 1, e.g. B. a grub screw exist (not shown).
- the cover 2 can be placed on a region of the pressure vessel 1 which is reduced in outer diameter such that the outer walls of the lid 2 and the pressure vessel 1 merge into one another in alignment. In contrast to the exemplary embodiment shown, this results in a completely smooth outer wall, which contributes to good handling.
- an insert container 6 can be used, which consists of an outer, dimensionally stable container 7 and an inner, flexible, bag-like container 8.
- the outer container 7 is preferably made of cardboard or cardboard (recycling material) or another environmentally friendly, easily rotting material, but can also be made of a plastic.
- the inner container 8 contains any substance to be sprayed and consists of a film made of a material that is insensitive to the respective substance, for example rubber or plastic.
- the inner container 8 is completely closed, ie on all sides.
- the material of the inner container 8 is both liquid-tight and gas-tight in order to also prevent any volatile constituents of the substance to be sprayed from escaping.
- the insert container 6, ie its inner and outer container 7, 8, forms a disposable portion packaging for introducing the substance to be sprayed into the container interior 4 of the pressure container 1 of the device according to the invention.
- the pressure container 1 and the insert container 6 are preferably cylindrical, the insert container 6 according to FIGS. 1 and 2 having a lid 11 with a peripheral edge 12 with a diameter corresponding to the inside diameter of the pressure container 1, and a bottom 13.
- the peripheral edge 12 can also have a diameter corresponding approximately to the outer diameter of the pressure vessel 1 and thereby form a sealing ring (not shown) arranged between the cover 2 and the pressure vessel 1.
- the lid 11 has in its central region a through opening 14 which, before insertion, for. B. can be closed by a sticker 15; 3, this sticker 15 is to be removed in the direction of arrow 16. It is useful if on the sticker 15 each in the Insert container 6 contained substance is specified.
- the sticker 15 can be attached to the outside of the pressure vessel 1, so that it can be seen from the outside which substance is currently in the pressure vessel 1.
- the inner container 8 is preferably pressure-tightly connected to the outer container 7 in an annular region 17 surrounding the through opening 14, for example by gluing or welding, which prevents the pressure medium from mixing with the substance to be sprayed and also from the device escapes.
- the lid 2 has a spray head 18 with a spray nozzle 19 which is connected to the container interior 4 via a passage 21 which can be opened by a spray valve (not shown).
- the spray valve can be opened in a known manner by pressure in the direction of arrow 22 on the spray head 18.
- the passage 21 extends through a tubular extension 23 arranged on the inside of the cover 2 and having a tip 24 at its end. When the lid 2 is closed, the extension 23 extends through the through opening 14 in the lid 11 of the insert container 6, so that the inner container 8 is pierced by the tip 24. A connection is thus created between the interior of the inner container 8 and the spray head 18.
- the insert container 6 is preferably shorter, that is to say with a smaller volume than the pressure container 1, as a result of which there is always a space with a defined volume for receiving a pressure medium, in particular compressed air, it is advantageous if stop means 25 are formed on the inner wall of the pressure container are, which act during the piercing of the inner container 8 as an abutment for the insert container 6 used.
- the stop means 25 can, for. B. be formed as individual approaches or as a circumferential ring web.
- the pressure container 1 has a bottom wall 27 opposite the opening 3, through which a pressure filling valve 28 which opens into the container interior space 4 extends.
- This pressure filling valve 28 is advantageously designed as a standard part, in particular as a plug valve of a compressed air quick coupling.
- the plug valve sleeve valves are usually components of known compressed air line systems, such as z. B. are available in car workshops.
- the pressure vessel 1, namely the cavity formed between the insert vessel 6 and the bottom wall 27, can be acted upon in a simple manner, in particular with compressed air.
- all other types of pressure valves such as. B. bicycle or car tire valves, suitable. Compressed air bottles, hand and foot pumps, compressors etc. are suitable for filling in the compressed air.
- an overpressure valve 29 opens into the container interior 4.
- the pressure relief valve 29 also expediently extends through the bottom wall 27 of the pressure container 1.
- This pressure relief valve 29 is designed such that it can be opened manually from the outside to release the pressure from the container interior 4.
- the pressure relief valve 29 ensures a constant filling pressure, which is usually in the range from 2.1 to 5.4 bar, since it opens briefly when a certain, preferably adjustable pressure is exceeded, until the pressure has dropped to the certain value. This training also offers a high level of security against overheating-related overpressures.
- This facility can e.g. B. be combined with the pressure relief valve 29.
- the pressure container 1 starting from its cylindrical wall, has an annular web-shaped section 31, which extends beyond the bottom wall 27 and beyond the ends of the pressure filling valve 28 and the pressure relief valve 29 and which has an annular standing surface 32 for the Pressure vessel 1 forms.
- the bottom wall 27 can be flat, curved outwards or - as shown - slightly curved inwards.
- a prestressed compression spring 34 is arranged between the bottom 13 of the insert container 6 and the bottom wall 27 of the pressure container 1 in the container interior 4, which makes it easier to remove the insert container 6 from the pressure container 1 by pulling the insert container 6 slightly upward out of the opening 3 pushes out so that it can be easily gripped.
- the compression spring 34 is preferably designed as a spiral spring.
- the bottom 13 of the insert container 6 has through holes 36 through which the pressure medium introduced through the pressure filling valve 28 passes and presses and compresses the flexible inner container 8 on all sides in order to be able to spray the substance when the spray valve is opened.
- the base 13 in a piston-like manner within the outer container 7 of the insert container 6, as a result of which the pressure medium can move the base 13 inside the insert container 6 upwards in order to compress the inner container 8.
- the cover 2 can also be arranged at the bottom, ie on the side facing the standing surface 32, in which case the cover 2 contains the pressure filling valve 28 and, if appropriate, the pressure relief valve 29 and one which forms the standing surface 32 Has section and the spray head 18 is arranged on the then closed, upper side of the pressure vessel 1.
- the spray head 18a is designed as a so-called atomizing pump, which means that a pressure medium and thus also the pressure filling valve 28 and the pressure relief valve 29 and, if appropriate, also the annular web-shaped section 31 of the pressure container 1 can be dispensed with.
- the container 1 need not be designed as a pressure container.
- the insert container 6a consists of a preferably cylindrical and dimensionally stable container 7a with a lid 11a and a base 13a, ie an inner, flexible container can be dispensed with.
- the container 7a is liquid-tight and gas-tight. It consists z. B. from an inside coated cardboard or cardboard material or plastic.
- the lid 11a has an opening 14a which, as shown in FIG. 3, can be closed before use.
- the opening 14a serves to insert a tube 37 of the spray head 18a, which is designed as an atomizing pump, which tube 37 extends into the lower region of the insert container 6a in order to suck the substance to be sprayed onto the spray head 18a under pressure in the direction of the arrow 22, thereby removing the substance the spray nozzle 19 is sprayed.
- the insert container 6 described above can of course also be used with an inner container 8.
- the inner container 8 is also inserted before the insert container 6 is inserted opened a suitable piercing tool in order to be able to insert the tube 37.
- the compression spring 34 is preferably also arranged between the bottom 13a of the insert container 6a and the bottom wall 27 of the container 1. Otherwise, the design of the container 1 preferably corresponds to the design according to FIG. 1, the same reference numerals designating the same parts.
- the outer container 1 consists of a transparent material.
- This design has the particular advantage that the insert container 6, 6a located in the container 1 is visible through the container wall, so that any labels indicating the content of the insert container 6, 6a are visible from the outside.
- the user always receives information as to whether the container 1 contains an insert container and which medium is currently in the container 1 or the insert container.
- This training is also important for the manufacturer of the insert container or the medium contained therein, since certain advertising prints of the insert container always ensure permanent advertising through the transparent container wall.
