DESIGN FOR A `KNURLING-TOOL.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,317, dated November; 18, 1890. Application led Max-oli 28,1888. Serial Noi 268,286. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern.:

Be it known that I, CASPER SCHAEFER, a citizen ofthe United States, residing at Sag Harbor, in the county of Suffolk and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and ornamental Design for a Pattern for a Knurling-Tool, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, which represents an edge view of the head of aknurling-tool having my pattern on the periphery of the same.

The leading features of my design consist of a main feathery Whirl having a small feathery Whirl Within its outer end located on the periphery of the head and a straight line running around the design and serving to mark oi the pattern distinctly.

A small feathery whirl 6 is shown between the main' whirls, having a tcndril '7. he seen that the alternate pattern-whirls are reversed.

Having thus described my invention, the following is what I claim as new therein and desire to secure by Design Letters Patent:

The design for a pattern for the periphery of the head of a knnrling-toel, :substantially as herein described and shown.
