DESIGN FOR A KNIFE-BLADE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,31 1, dated February 22, 1898.
Application filed May 5 1897. Serial No. 635.265. Term of patent 14 years.
To (all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that we, JEREMIAH B. BOWMAN and ALVIN S. BOWMAN, citizens of the United States, residing at Palmyra, in the county of Lebanon and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for a Knife- Blade,of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a knife-blade; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a knife-blade having at a point centrally between its end a straight flatportion with parallel side edges, and opposite duplicate reve rsely-curved portions extending in opposite directions from the central straight portion and tapering to a point.
In the drawing the figure is a perspective View of a knife-blade embodying the hereindescribed design.
Referring particularly to the drawing, the numeral 1 designates a knife-blade having at a point between its ends a central straight flat portion 2 with parallel side edges 3. From opposite sides of the central straight flat portion 2 of the knife-blade are extended the opposite duplicate reversely-enrved portions 4, which taper to a point 5 and are beveled at one edge, as at 6.
\Vhat we claim is- The design for a knife-blade herein shown and described.
