TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, ELEMm J. NEY, of Lowell, in the county of Middlesex, and State of Massachusetts, have originated and designed a new Pattern for Carpets or other fabrics, of which the following is a full, clear, and exa-ct description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings; making part of this specification.

A, in the centre, is a Gothic figure, resting on Gothic ground, surrounded by franje B. C C and D D are halves, and when matched will form a figure and frame similar to A and B. E is a cross. The surrounding of it is shown in the drawing. F F are halves; when matched will form a cross and surrounding similar to E. G G G G are leaves connecting the design. y I

The colors employed for the diierent portions of the design may be varied to suit the taste and wish of the marmfacturer.4

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, i s- The design or pattern for carpets or other fabrics herein set forth.y
