Bo it known that I, AUGUST Hsmsanancan, of New York, in the county and State of New York, have originated and designed a new Design for Impression on Cigar-Boxes for a Trade Mark, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference boing had to the accompanying drawings, making part nf this specification.

Imake two concentric circles, a and b, the one inside of the other. In thc space formed by these two circles the word superior'I is placed at the top and thc words dd Pedro Roger" at the bottom or lower side. Inside of the circle a the words la Rosa de Santiago and the word Habana," in parenthesis, are arranged in such a manner that the word Habana will come in the middle at the bottom, and that the said words la Rosa de Santiago (Habana)" form a complete circle concentric to the circle a. Into the circular space formed by these lastmentioned words a full-blown rose, d, is arranged ou the top of a stom, n, nclining slightly toward the left hand; and a little below the samefon the right hand of the stem n, a rose-bud, m, is placed. Below these, tn-o rose leaves, s s, are arranged, one on each side of tho stem'. r

This design is executed in iron, or any other suitable x'netal, with all the lines, letters, and figures, as above described, raised above the surface, so that when heated the whole design can be burned into the wood of the cigar-box as a trade marl: for a particular description of cigars packed into the box; i

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is.
