DESIGN FOR A FRAME FOR FIELD-MAGNETS.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,966, dated December 10, 1895.

Application filed October 15 1895. Serial No. 565,803. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that we, DUGALD (3. JACKSON and CONRAD M. CONRADSON, citizens of the United States, residing at Madison, in the county of Dane and State of Viseonsin, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Field-Magnet Frames for Electric Motors and Generators, of which the following is a specification.

Our invention has reference to electric motors and generators; and it consists in a novel design for the field-magnet frame thereof.

In the drawings, Figure 1 is an end or edge View of our improved field-magnet frame, and Fig. 2 a side or front face view of the same.

This field-magnet frame is an integral hollow shell, which may be described as having the form of a spherical segment or truncated sphere with parallel bases, (formed by small circles,) thereby producing a shell or frame arched or curred in two directions. The field-magnet frame is provided with a foot piece or support, and with radial flanges at the sides, as shown, the field-magnet frame having the form of a spherical segment or truncated sphere with parallel bases, forming the essential and characteristic feature of the present design.

\Vhat we claim is- The design for the field magnet frame shown and described.
