WITNESSES @A Wuim UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
GIRARD PERREGAUX, OF CHAUXDE-FONDS, NEUFGHATEL, SH ITZERLAND.
DESIGN FOR A WATCH-MOVEMENT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,919, dated March 25. 1884.
Application filed December 15, 1883. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GIRARD PERREGAUX, of Chaux-de-Fonds, in the canton of Neutchatel and Republic of Switzerland, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a \Vatch-Movement, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
Reference is to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification, and which represents aface view, upon an enlarged scale, of my design.
My design consists of three parallel bridges, each having a central annular portion, spreadout ends, and bar-like portions between said annular portions and ends, and at equal distances apart within the circular outline of the plate or case of the watch-movement.
A designates the movement case or plate, which is of circular shape.
B B B designate, respectively, the several bridges disposed to occupy parallel positions to each other and at equal distances apart within the circular outline or periphery of the plate or case A, the intermediate bridge, B, occupyinga central position therein. The bridges B B B are of like configuration, each mainly consisting of spread-out or flattened opposite end portions, b b, a central annular shaped portion, 0, and straight narrow radial or central bar portions, d 11, between the flattened end portions, b b, and the central annular portion, a. The spread-out or flattened end portions, 1) b, of each bridge present a parallel configuration on their sides (2 e, angular projecting V-shaped outer ends, f f, and partly annular converging and concave inner end configurations or outlines, g g and h h, the borders or margins of all of which portions show bevels or beveled surfaces .9. The bar-like portions d d of the bridges are also of bevel finish on their sides. Through the spreadout or flattened end portions b b of the bridges, and where the bar-like portions (1 djoin the annular-shaped portions c,are inserted screws n, which add to the ornamental appearance of the design.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent 1. In a watch-movement, the design for a bridge, consisting of a bridge having a central annular portion, spreadout ends, and barlike .portions between the said annular portions and ends, as shown.
2. In a watch-movement, the herein-described design for a bridge, having a central annular portion, a, the bar-like portions d, and the flattened or spread-out ends b, having parallel beveled sides e, V-shapcd beveled =outer ends, f, and angular converging and concave beveled inner ends, 9 h, as shown.
3. In a watch-movement, the herein-described design, consisting of the parallel bridges B B B", each having a central annular portion, sp'rendout ends, and barlike portions between said annular portions and ends, and arranged within the circular outline of the watch-plate, as shown.
4. In a watch-movement, the herein-described design, consisting of the parallel bridges B B B, each having a central annular portion, spread-out ends, and a bar-like portion between said annular portions and ends, and arranged within the circular outline of the watch-plate at equal distances apart, and with their central portions in line with each other, as shown.
