passe partout frame and consists further in the features of construction and combination hereinafter particularly described and claimed.
In the accompanying drawings forming part of this specification, Figure 1 is a rear view of a passe partout frame partly broken away and fitted with my improved hanger; Fig. 2'is a top view of the upper hanger; Fig. 3 is a side view of the, same partly broken away; and Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a passe partout frame fitted with my hanger. 7
Referring to the drawings A represents an ordinary passe partout frame.
B represents the top member of my hanger and O one of the bottom members. The top member B is formed with clips 2 to fit over the upper edge of the'frame. member B is integrally formed with a pair of upwardly extendingspring tongues 3 and with inwardly extending spring tongues 4c. Openings 5 are formed at the pointed ends of the spring tongues andopenings 6 are formed at the sides of the butt ends of the tongues to assist in the threading of the supporting cord 7. The bottom members 0 are shaped to correspond with. the lower corners of the frame and are formed with clips 8 and 9 receiving the sides andbottom edges respectively of the frame. With the members fitted over the edges of the frame as shown in Fig. 1 the supporting cord 7 is passed around the tongues of the members B and C as shown in Fig. 1, leaving a free upwardly extending end of the cord to hook over a nail or other support.
As will be evident the hanger members may be arranged in connection with any size of frame and the cord then pulled taut through the spring tongues to hold the members in set position.
I claim as my invention 1. In combination with a frame of the class described, a hanger therefor comprising a member removably fitted over the upper edge of said frame, members removably fitted over the lower corners of the frame, guide means for a cord carried by said members and a cord threaded through the guide means upon said corner members and intermediately through part of the guide means upon said upper member, the free ends of the cord being then threaded through independent guide means upon said upper member for the purpose set forth.
2. In combination with a frame of th class described, a hanger therefor comprising a member fitted over the upper edge of said frame, members fitted over the lower corners of said frame, a pair of upwardly extending spring tongues carried by said upper member, a pair of inwardly extending spring tongues carried by said member, outwardly extending spring tongues carried by said lower members and a cord threaded under said tongues for the purpose set forth.
